I Ride: two bikes in the morning. I ride two bikes at night. I ride two bikes in the afternoon cuz it makes me feel alright.

Worst head injury was inside our apt in minnapolis minn. I was running and tripped and smashed my head into one of those cast iron heaters. Big crack in
my skull , my dad put a wet towel on it. Can still feel the crack in my skull.

I said the same thing to my kids (though the 70's and 80's), and their only response was "That explains a lot".

Helmets aren't going anywhere. We're stuck with them, here anyway. The past is the past ... and you can't go back. It is what it is. You can keep things going, like my old shovel-head, but the whole 'I did all that without a helmet' isn't going to register with people that grew up in a *child proof* world. The village idiots have taken over.
