But when thousands of motorcycles — there are nearly four million registered in the city — funnel into the winding streets and narrow alleyways, the resulting rush of two-wheelers makes a Hell’s Angels gathering seem polite and orderly." |

When the light turns red, the scooters and small motorcycles pour onto the sidewalks, green areas, and funnel between cars, to get to the front of the line. There is a lot of honking, but it's not out of anger or frustration, but only to signal to the cars that someone is next to them, a "please don't hit me" heads up. Through all of this chaos, everyone is as cool as a cucumber. Pretty fucking awesome. |
