Speaking of eye of the beholder, thats a face only a mother could love.Seems the polls are pushing the Ducati 1199 as the winner, which is kinda what i expected. So why not the Motard? I honestly would have thought this to rate higher |

I still know some that swear by them, I wasnt expecting them to be last. I honestly think the new Motards look better than the new Monsters. |

![]() ![]() | If you can control yourself and don't mind limited range, the Hyper is a frickin blast! Much better daily ride than the Pani IMO, but they are supposed to come out with a water cooled version soon, so you might want to wait?! |

| Peg Dragger Joined: Aug 2005 From: Vanquivering with Kevin in WA. I Ride: Kawasaki Z1000; Yamaha RZ350 (2); Yamaha RD400 (2); Yamaha RD350 (2); Yamaha RD125; Yamaha RD60; Kawasaki '72 G5-100; '66 Suzuki X-6 Hustler FINALLY!! | All those are decidedly really nice bikes, the dream of many sport riders....but where's the "Other" choice in your poll? ![]() Motorcycle preferences can be so subjective for the average rider, you could've selected a dozen choices and still miss several bikes people are quite passionate about. The "Other" in my case would be an "Arrest-Me Red" MV Agusta Brutale (just like the one for sale in the classified).. an instant pulse-quickening look that makes you wish at that very moment, you could be riding it on some of the tightest turns on NF90 or another favorite road. Call me stuck in the '70s or whatever....but I'm not much of a 4-stroke lover, maybe because I find compression-braking on downhill roads annoying. However, for THAT bike I'll surrender my heart...but not my wallet! It's definitely exciting even to only look at. If you guys thought you're the only ones who get, uh *stimulated* by the sight and feel of a particularly compelling motorcycle....well trust me, it works the same for us too! I find that different bikes fit different moods and that's one of the reasons I choose to have several more affordable bikes than one or two high cost choices. You never get bored with the same thing, and even if one is waiting for a rebuild or another new tires, there's always something at your beck and call! If I won the lottery I'd probably go looking for a Serie Oro Brutalle and a few other pieces of exotica, but at this point I'm not pining for anything....I'm quite content with owning only Japanese bikes, and in fact many of the ones I currently have were my "dream" bikes in my teens and 20s. They've served me exceptionally well for several decades and kept a permanent grin on my face! |
