looks like he could have been braking harder? I mean no skid marks at all and you are heading straight for oncoming traffic? I suppose it could have ABS but wow. Maybe he was to busy peeing in his camo pants....

He sure did look cool in the photos though and that is the most important thing. I have ridden the dragon and it can and will bite the unsuspecting. There is a tree with lots of bike and car parts nailed to it.

Dumbass meets Corvette story at 11:00

In terms of what happens that's been covered. I blame the illegal photographer though. Rider is clearly seen trying to alert authorities immediately prior.

Only thing to add is that the fiber glass car fell apart. Crazy that the entire front fender and bumper literally disapear, just some shrapnel left over.

Was there Illegal Gravel involved? And those damn "Plastic Fantastic" cars don't hold together very well...AJ

I Ride: Ninja 650 or somebody elses.
You have to appreciate a photographer honing his craft, snapping away at 12 fps, while dude eats corvette and ponders the ethereal nature of life while flying through the air.

Its a beautiful thing. Sniffle.

Looks like a Triumph to me.
Yes, it's a Triumph -- a Triumph Thunderbird 1600, same bike (even same color scheme) as mine.

Trust me, it corners great; it was designed to be more of a sport/muscle cruiser. This wasn't the fault of the bike by any stretch of the imagination.

Did anyone else see the illegal gravel on the road just after he waved?

He doesn't get his fingers on the brake until pic 14. Guess that's what happens when you loose focus on what your doing. Just remember a good lookin gal on the side of the road can have the same effect

Going too fast for that corner on a cruiser style bike loaded down with crap and isn't physically able to achieve the lean angle of a sportier bike.

but...

Inattention is his biggest enemy

Then he target fixates

It's all over after that.

He probably would have been fine had he been paying attention and had both hands on the handlebars.

Could have happened to anyone though.

He should have invested in better protective gear.

I'm guessing broken pelvis/legs/wrists/etc.

The car/bike aren't really that important compared to the probable damage to his body.

It would have been so cool if the rider flipped into the passenger seat of the vette!
