He let the good people of Kaboom blow it up. Personally I wouldn't tie that knot....I know for a fact she sucks or this wouldnt be happening!! (I tried to find a Youtube link so all the bs wasn't there with no luck) http://screen.yahoo.com/kaboom-kaboo...080100328.html |

You gotta find the right one or you are in trouble. I got motorcycles grandfathered in when we hooked up. She is not crazy about them but she knows I am' so its tolerated. Well, tolerated isn't the right word, I own many bikes, not enough, but too many... I race on every surface... Spend all my vacation either getting too, riding, or coming from, a racetrack or remote dirtbiking area... And when I say grandfathered in, I mean it. We wuz young then, now I am a grandfather... But being old don't make me slow. |

My reply is always that if she would have asked me to stop, then we wouldn't have dated long anyways. Now she just tolerates it because she understands that it is something that makes me happy. She was actually mad when I sold my R1 without telling her because she knew I put a lot of time and effort into it. I thought she was more upset about the money I had spent getting it right, but she was still mad even after I told her I made money on the bike. She actually told me I need to get more into skydiving because she thinks it is safer and cheaper. I don't know, there are some guys that just aren't that into motorcycles. You have the guys who crash within their first year and never ride again. There are those who buy a liter bike as their first bike, or first bike since they were younger and now the kids are out of the house, then they dump a ton of money into the thing, never ride it and post it on Craigslist for way too much money. Some people just aren't that into it. Maybe he just really didn't care. I wouldn't either if I rode that piece of shit. |

If that dude was the first category and his wife to be, cared about his feelings/happiness. That ridiculous destruction of a perfectly good machine would have never taken place...AJ ![]() |

| Streetfighter Joined: Mar 2008 From: Kingston I Ride: the short bus ....... with your mom in the back. | ![]() People have different priorities in life. People do change hobbies from time to time. A good friend of mine was into playing music for years, had all kind of instruments and amps and crap. After he tried skydiving, he got hooked on that and it began to take up all his time, so he sold almost all his music stuff and now has all his own stuff and certifications for jumping. A little over a year ago he got into bikes, started with a neglected Superhawk, bought a new gsxr750, sold the super hawk within about 6 months. Then he picked up a Ducati 848evo, and a 250 trackbike (now traded in for an R6 trackbike). He may very well be hooked. To the story in the op, if this was something that he was passionate about and she made him give it up, then she is just a bitch, and so is he. But maybe he just didn't care that much about riding, that doesn't make him a poser. |

If you are going to get married, and one of the people involved says, "You get rid of this or (or you can't do this thing you like to do) or I won't marry you" that says conditional love, and at least controlling behaviour, neither of which I have a desire for. Eventually you are done getting bullied, and you get divorced. All that said the orginal post was more light hearted Neither action is acceptable, amusing but not acceptable: |
