Too late, Destination Highways already did. But it doesn't seem like too many people got the book so we're good.

Heading out there the end of this week or next for a weekday ride. Can't wait. Love this area but don't get there too often.

I have been hearing some less than flattering road reports from that area recently. Nothing career ending, but lots of gravel spillage, especially right down at Dewatto.

I may do a "courtesy" scouting on the way home one day this week.

Thanks much appreciated. Will be on Dewatto Rd/Dewatto Bay Rd/NE Dewatto Holly Rd/NE Dewatto Beach Dr from Hwy 300, then up Seabeck Hwy NW to NW Anderson Hill Rd.

Was out there on Saturday 7/28.
They did some shoulder grading and left fine dirt and gravel in some places.
South end of Tahuya River Road.
South hill and switchback out of Dewatto - gravel and dirt all the way on the pavement.
North of Dewatto there's a bit just south of the Volunteer Fire Dept building.
Watch out for marbles and ball bearings in the lane.

The rest of the route is pretty much clean.

Verily I say unto you that bcj is well known for his accuracy of observation and veracity of reporting.

That being said, I'm still going to go scouting, simply because I wanna.

Just did the scout, and bcj is spot on. The hill down into Dewatto is definitely dirty.

Just keep your eyes down range and things will be fine. Enjoy your ride while I am toiling away at the salt mines.

We actually starting in Kingston (taking the 12:40pm ferry), play on Dabob, then come around Hood Canal with a little detour up N Hamma Hamma Rd/NF-25 before we come over to Dewatto: http://goo.gl/maps/um91E. Did I mention it's this Tueday, 8/7?
