| Zone Head Joined: May 2008 From: Seattle, WA I Ride: Little Red Riding Rocket ('09 Daytona) & Johnny 5 ('96 Bandit streetfighter) | 1996 Suzuki Bandit 600 $1000 I finally bought my super sport, so it's time to get rid of the old girl. 1996 Suzuki GSF600S Bandit. About 16k miles. It's been in for every service interval at Eastside Motosports in Bellevue. I bought it with low miles so most of them are mine Now, the full disclosure: She has been down at low speed twice. Low sided mid-corner. Once when I was a noob and hit some ice I wasn't ready for. Once when I was mid turn and grabbing brake like an idiot. I learned my lessons and walked away, but the bike bears the scars. So, there are some wounds on the cowling and the right foot peg has been welded/repaired (quite well, too- holds my weight like new). It remained my daily rider until a week ago. I've been unable to start it over the last few days and am working to fix it. I'm out of ideas and am willing to take best offer from someone who wouldn't mind putting in some work to fix her up. My plan, should I keep it, was to get rid of the cowling altogether and find a street fighter kit to make it a hooligan. I think Bandits look great fully naked. Now you can carry that torch because I can't keep two bikes at once right now. In summary, I'm hoping to sell this to someone who wants a cheap, comfy commuter or sport-tourer that's super simple to wrench on and mechanically bulletproof. It will make a great second/third/fourth bike or affordable first for someone who's willing to ride a 600 off the bat (I did). Bike is located in Seattle. Title in hand. Asking an even $1000. There are a few strange things going on that I'm looking into. I'm pretty much out of ideas and willing to take best offer on a bike in need of TLC. I just don't have time to tackle this right now. Rain coupled with my lack of a garage means no work on bike. I'm sorry to everyone for making an ultimately bogus post. I'm giving myself crazy neg rep in my own mind right now. I think at this point I'll have to officially consider this sale on hiatus until I can get the proper facilities to address the problems. On that note, if anyone would be so kind as to host me in their garage over some weekend and lend a hand with the fix, I would be elated. Until that happens, there won't be much progress. Thanks everyone for the enthusiastic responses and for understanding the complications I ran into. |

I am keeping it to do the streetfighter mod I was planning on to begin with, and to have a Winter bike. Depending how that goes, she *may* find her way back onto the market in the future.
