If you've just passed the MSF course, this bike is not for you. I'm in no hurry to sell this bike as I have no trouble waiting until Summer. I just figured I'd see what the market's like at this time. This bike obviously has been well-used but is in good shape. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Mundefined; 10-15-2009 at 10:13 AM.. |

| WMRRA Qualifier Joined: Mar 2006 From: Redmond, WA I Ride: then fly and stop suddenly | Sorry, sorry, sorry... For anyone who saw my ad in Craigslist today for this bike for a price of $3000... it was an experiment. In the last 2 weeks I've had it listed for $2000, I've had about 10 people contact me. Nearly all of those people showed strange behavior (wanted to fly from Texas and ride it back home until they realized it was raining in Seattle????). And I won't even try to describe the bargaining technique of one particular individual and what he offered to "trade" for it. So... in an effort to weed out the crazies, and to put to use some of the gibberish we talk about in class, I decided on an experiment. I figured the perception of the bike was all wrong. I had originally thought I would make it a "bargain" by pricing it very low. Instead, I think I created the perception that the overall value of the bike was junk. So, I thought I'd re-post it with a price more in-line with some standard, NADA or KBB. $3000 is still on the low side, but I thought I'd give it a try to see if I got any responses. At worst, I figured it would give me some bargaining room. Unfortunately, I totally forgot that I'd posted it here and, more importantly, that cascaderider told me he was interested in it. He noticed the CL ad and called me on it. So... just to be clear... the price for the bike is exactly as it's listed here... $2000. I'm sorry to cause confusion. Might be a sales killer. Perhaps you could change your avatar until after you sell it. just a thought to try and help. |
