1990 CBR400RR NC29 $3500 Auburn
Well, it's been fun, but it's time to sell this one. Need to clear some space in the garage and put some cash away for the next bike.

What to say about it...OK, it's a grey market bike, and that's pretty cool in and of itself. Light, nimble, fun to ride on track or in traffic. Mechanically good, cosmetically not so much. It spent time as a track bike for at least a couple previous owners, and bears the scars of a couple of drops. So, no worries about beating up some priceless collectable. This one's for riding.

The good stuff:
53 WHP on DucSea's dyno...Marty figured about 59 HP at the crank, right on for factory specs.
Lots of tread left on the Michelins.
Braided brake lines, new clutch and choke cables.
New battery. 1/4 turn throttle and a Scorpion can.
Digital temp, eBay speedo overlay for MPH.
520 chain conversion, CBR600 shock.
Pretty much everything is drilled for lock wire.
Box of miscellaneous spares.
And a clean Washington title, only NC29 in the state with a plate according to DOL.

The ok stuff:
Body work is scuffed and cracked, especially on the left side.
Scrapes on engine side covers, controls, mirrors, etc.

Serious inquiries only, but feel free to e-lust.

You would trade your NC29 for an NC29? Weird science. Call my friend Blake at 425 829 4016 for an NC35 if you wish.

Not that it matters, but your source at DOL is mistaken. This is not the only NC29 registered in WA State with a license plate.

Looks pretty decent for $35-hunny. bump it

I meant to say NC30. I was trying to import an NC30 from Canada; when that didn't work out I shipped an NC29 from California. The gal at the DOL couldn't find anything in the database for the CBR400RR, so I presumed I was the first.

ah ic ic. fwiw, I know of at least 3 other NC29's in WA state. I saw one of them today. I'm a major fan of the NC30/35 series and have had more than a few. Here are a couple from the not-so-distant-past...

The subframe is ok as far as I can tell...bodywork, not so much. There's a couple of cracked tabs inside the tail, and the rear brake reservoir is not in the stock location, so the right side especially doesn't sit quite right. It's still securely mounted, it just looks a little funky.
