I don't want to lower the bike by spending 100s, rather just find something else. im looking for a similar year bike 07+ with similar miles <10k looking for a bike that fits my height, gsxr, cbr or zx6r. if someone is interested, i'd like to just do a straight trade... maybe just sell it for the right price if no1 is interested in a trade... send me a tell with offer/pics/etc... will be out of town for 3 days. ![]() Last edited by h92low; 06-20-2012 at 03:54 AM.. |

The other bikes you listed are not any shorter. Registration fees will mount up to how much it costs to lower the bike as well. |

| Pit Crew | In comparison to my 2008 GSX-R1000, my friend's 2009 R6 has a wider seat, and is lowered but is still harder to reach the ground. I can only assume the 2007 R6 is similar. |

| Training Wheels Joined: Apr 2011 From: Vancouver, Wa | I've owned both 07 r6 and cbr. Big difference.. the 07 cbr is so comfy compared to R6. the R6 is taller and wider. I'd shaved the seat and soften the susp. on my r6, it did helped for street riding. |

| Permit Joined: Jul 2011 From: 98087 I Ride: crotchbomb 3million | Well I'm not a huge fan at modding my bike even lowering it. I do have a pretty clean bike but ultimately decided to trade after I tipped over sitting on my bike on my driveway after losing balance. Haha. I felt incredibly Stupid but I came so close to tipping over so many times before due to its height After doing a bit of research I found out that gsxrs are a full ~2 inches lower than my bike. My friend has a gsxr that I desperately tried to trade but he loved his bike too much to trade with me. Most other bikes are an inch or more lower than mine. It seems like most offers I'm getting are pretty crappy so I'll just keep it and think about some other options unless something else comes along. Sry but if I don't reply to ur pm I'm not Interested. Thx for all the input |

These heights are all from 2007 and newer. Not sure why you think the others are lower. I'm not trying to be a dick, I just think you missed that all the other bikes you listed have a taller seat height. Trading away won't get you anywhere as you'll have to lower those also. |

Well if the seat is narrower it could give the feel that the sest is lower because you're standing more straight up than if the seat is wider where your legs have to angle more? Maybe | |
