1977 Yamaha RD400 - $2500 - ?? miles

Hard to find classic Yamaha RD400 two stroke twin! Pipeline (?) expansion chambers, toomey airbox modification, clip ons, rear sets and solo seat.



Runs strong, big wheelies no troubles : )

I Ride: RD400F Daytonut
Those look like Pipeline expansion chambers (out of production now). Seat looks like a Laguna seat (had one on my old RD400). Rearsets are Spec II. <-- and they work just fine even though people talk about them being "erector sets" and ugly.

thanks. was thinking they may be DG chambers? yes Spec II seems right on the rearsets.

can you give us ANY worthwhile information about the bike other than ?? for miles and "runs strong" ? Any history what so ever, owners, possible miles, engine rebuilds...

Sorry not much to tell other than what is visible on this 35 year old bike.. Speedo was replaced at some point with a used one so ?? miles... no engine rebuild by current owner who has had it for 3 years. That's about all there is.
