For a buddy of mine... Thing runs like a friggen top. Bike is over at Eastside Harley in Bellevue. If you want to see it, call them up and ask for Joe P.

YZF 600R 2003

start at $2499.

71000+ miles

Stock.

New clutch friction plates and springs installed 6000 miles ago.

Yamalube, not synthetic.

Still gets 48-50 mpg on highway. I always used midgrade. 5 gal tank

Zero Gravity Double Bubble windshield. Smoked color.

Pirelli Diablo Strada tires

Bumped by a car when parked, fell on the left:

Scratches under the left rear passenger seat

Cracked left ferring under front turn signal but is covered by the white decal.

Tip of exhaust is bent a little.

Left turn signals were replaced.

I agree...the boy doesn't own a car. He did upgrade to an FZ1 (reason for the sale).

Would this make a good first track bike? Or should I wait a year and track my 2007 FZ6 and buy a new FZ6 (or FZ1) for a daily ride?

Would be along the lines of tracking a CBR600F3. So not bad at all for a first track bike.

71k and that clean is definitely impressive!

Has he had a compression check recently?

If it is something that somebody wanted to have done before they purchased it, I am pretty sure he could get that done pretty quick. But to answer your question I doubt it. All I know is it doesnt blow smoke or smell funny when I rode behind it.

All I have to say is that a nice bike and 71,000 miles is fantastic. I have a 2005 FZ 6 and I have 27,000 miles on it. Daily commuter. I am pretty sure mine looks very close to that good. Nice job on the mileage

You mean a sportbike can make it that many miles and not get wrecked!

I am impressed!

Seems like a good price too!

Hi there, EvilTwin posted my 600R for me. I also just posted the bike craigslist.com today. No, it hasn't had a compression test recently. But I forgot to add, it does have a new battery and I put on Heli bars awhile ago. Please feel free to email if you have any questions.
