I'm wondering what this thing may be worth, and if anyone around here may be interested. Price: $3000 OBO or Trade for clean RD350, older VFR, or anything else that may be cool it's a 1989 Honda Pacific Coast (PC800) it's Pearl White, has about 60,000 miles on her fairly new tires (2 years / less than 2K miles) New Battery (this summer) "Tall" Honda windshield (new) heated grips am/FM Radio sissy bar / back rest Rich's Custom Seat bike had a "Professional Tune Up" from a local bike shop about 2 years ago my dad has had it sitting in his garage for 2 years, barely ever rides it (keeps it on a battery tender) says he just dosn't feel comfortable on it, he can't flat foot it, and hasn't regularly ridden a bike in about 10 years (he's 5' 4" with 28" inseam) Bike Starts / Runs / Rides Very well super easy to ride has enough power to sustain highway speeds thru the mountains it's pretty comfortable, would make a great commuter with it's "Trunk" for your gear no pics right now again, I don't know what to ask for it. I may just keep it and use it for teaching my GirlFriend to ride and to commute on. if you're really interested, make me an offer (Cash, beginer bike, something cool, ect....) BTW: the bike is currently in Roseburg, Or I will be headed down to pick it up and ride it back to Seattle area (Bremerton) sometime in the next month Last edited by krautBurner; 09-12-2008 at 05:52 PM.. | Shredder Joined: Jul 2008 From: Cornelius, Oregon I Ride: Everyday | I just sold a 1990 Honda Pacific Coast, new tires, new brakes, re-covered seat. The bike was on a SALVAGED title and still had scuffs and scratches. It needed a Tune up and smoked a bit. It had a little over 69,000 miles on it. I sold it for $2500.00 with a salvaged title on craigslist they did not even try to argue price. Ebay they are going between 3500 and 4000 a cult bike. I would say put it at $3500.00 to $4000.00 /best offer and it will be gone in a few weeks. List on Ebay with a reserve of $3000.00 and it will probably go for more. |

There is a lot of things I miss about not having it but I really like naked type standards. The real surprise is the have such a cult following and yahoo group list that is huge the bikes retain their value. There are only so many left. |

yeah, it actually handles very well for it's size, super easy to ride, very neutral easy to flick around | |

I put Progressive springs in the forks, Galfer lines & pads in the front brakes and Works Performance shocks in the back. It handles very well, even two up at MGVW. I hacksawed off those rediculous disc covers so the brakes wouldn't fade and if anyone wants to know how to do it, send me a PM and I'll tell you how. Best thing about it from my point of view is how well its balanced. Easy to ride with virtually no bad habits, even if it is a little under powered. I took the Lee Parks Total Control class on it and was dragging my knee. |
