| Newbie Joined: Nov 2012 From: Portland I Ride: XR650L | Hello From Portland Hi all, I am not really a moto guy (yet). Last year I bought a plated XR650L- It's been great. So far I have done a couple day trips, commuting, some trail riding and some desert riding. I have a good adventure/do-all bike. Now that I know it's limitations, I want more bikes!! I come from a cycling background and definitely have a couple different bikes for each occasion. When I think about what type of moto riding I want to do I think of slower (<60) twisties, rutted dirt roads and trail riding. Trail riding is the best. Goals for this year are to get a trail bike (I have my eye on Yamaha WRs), and do a couple little upgrades to my XR (fork brace, rack, 18 front wheel, trail tech...) Anyway, that's what my moto life looks like. It would be rad to go on some trips with some new people. -Ethan |

![]() ![]() | Welcome and great bike, it's stone reliable! You might consider searching Ebay for a 19" front wheel from an NX250 Honda, it will bolt right on with new wheel bearings. |

I'm on a drz400 supermoto savin up for an off-road setup at the moment. But when the trails are dry the sumo can go pretty good. Get at me if you ever need a ridin buddy |
