Touchy subject. |

Schweitzer is definitely top I rode there for 5-6 years, but I need a place that is affordable with good beginner and intermediate terrain for the family. |

The shuttle for Stevens Pass picks up in front of my place WHEWT! When Jay and I were thinking about getting married I asked him if he wanted to get married or buy new skis/boots/poles/gear. Because I view weddings as a tremendous waste of money. Jay looked at me long and hard and said "really?" I said "yep. whats it going to be?" Jay said: "I'm not sure if that's either the least or the most romantic offer I've ever been given. And I'd chose the skis". ![]() So yes. Skiing. Stevens and Mission Ridge since Leavenworth is roughly in between the two. |

| Endorsed | Don't ski anymore, that and softball for years kinda messed up my knees. Although I do have a 185 rosi monoski I will be selling this season if you know anyone interested. Paid over $600 for it, has solomon bindings on it. They don't sell them at any shops anymore so hoping it goes pretty quick! Let me know if you wanna check it out Ken. peace |

Here's the motel crf150...the ROKON has ice spikes....and the little xr50 is pretty epic on the ice, as well. waahhh00000t! My employee uses the ROKON to drag tourists on snowmobiles out of ditches for money all winter round here (w00t!) It's 2 wheel drive LOL. Here's the ROKON with the xr50 ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Meadows terrain is supposedly better but the lift lines are retarded, they barely open shit, and their park sucks. Meadows pretty much thinks were all bundled up wallets. This bundled up wallet is going to t-line! Anyways, I can't find a ton of good pictures from last season... except for this one of my broken colar bone last season. Sucks too since I took first in the USASA senior mens division for slopestyle, was gunning to sweep boardercorss as well and then hit up Nationals for both for the year. I went the year before for boardercross in the open class, but uh... that was fucking ridiculous. USASA Nationals is a swatch TTR tour stop, and in the open class a lot of olympic competitors were mixed in with us. The other kids all had wax techs, thousand dollar boards, multiple coaches, films of the course... and groupies! I just had a fucking ham and cheese sandwhich, some gatorade and muchos juevos por ellos madres! ![]() |

Hit me up if you want to ski Mission Ridge, I've lived in Wenatchee for years and I've taught skiing at the Ridge for 15 years. Great snow, sunshine and short(if any) lift lines. Cheap ticket prices too compared to most areas. We take our motorhome up most weekends to have a place for lunch and happy hour after skiing. Last 2 years Mission has been the first area in Washington to open, hopefully this year too. Join us for lunch and an after ski brewski! |

| Endorsed Joined: Aug 2009 From: Portland OR I Ride: 92 CBR 600F2 | 2005 Kawasaki Ninja 500EX (street Fightered) | ![]() The cheapest way to do it (that I can advise) is get some cheap all temp from the ski section at any ski store,. No joke the ski shit is WAY Cheaper, although the tech shop may have it as well and cheaper since it won't be in any packaging. Ask for their ultra generic bricks of all temp wax. Get that shit for all of maybe $2-3. Get a clothing iron however nescessary (Steal from your mother, your friends mother, that mother fucker down the street... however). Set it between cotton and wool. Drip wax onto your board by touching wax to the iron. If yo usee smoke you're burning the wax turn that shit down! Once your base has light dots of wax scattered accross, use the iron to spred it out evenly accross the whole base. Bear in mind the purpose isn't to leave wax ONTOP of the base, but more to have the base absorb it. It's a lot like a cast iron skillet, it heats up, the molecules spread out, wax is absorbed inside, and when it cools it traps in wax to slowly be released over time onto the snow. Get it all over the base, and scrape all that shit. Buff it with an old t-shirt you don't give a crap about, and you're golden for a little while. Bear in mind the base material of your board will affect how often you should wax. It is oddly enough the exact opposite of NEED though. Cheaper bases won't suffer damage from lack of wax, although they hold much less wax. Extruded bases up to 2600 molecular weight (that's what the neighbor means btw) are in this category. Sintered bases from 3300 up to 9200 can hold tons of wax, but when they go dry suffer friction damage far easier and you can easily damage your base. Oh and just a hint, for those of you who are girls or shopping for a girl: beware of bases that say "Low maintenace", that's industry speak for "Shitty ass extruded base". They list acutal base construction and molecular weight on mens boards and good womens board, so use the above information to seperate out the crap from the good ![]() How many people are asleep now ![]() |
