Blew the fork seals again
but made it 1 1/2 years from the last time i blew them. this time i decided to save alittle money and take the challenge of taking them out myself, then bring the forks into the shop to have a pro change the seals, i'm not ready for that part yet. it was pretty easy to do. here are some pixs.

Dunno, but you're stuck with it now!
May want to invest in a front stand that lifts by the hole in the lower clamp.
You can still take the forks off with it, and it's cool to have around for brake service/wheel removal/cleaning/etc...

i got a delima now. i was looking on ebay and found some 07 forks with the gold tubes that i like. the shops here in idaho change $78-$75/ hour. they qoute me 2hrs to do my fork seal. but the forks on ebay are the same amount and some change. should i go with the ebay forks or just have my forks fixed?

As easy is it is to be screwed on ebay, I would get yours fixed, and then look for a set to upgrade. Just in case ya know. Besides your forks are barely visible, I think the black would look better with the rest of your bike. You Gots NO BLING.

Fork seals should last longer than 1.5 years - unless you're really beating on them. Has the shop looked closely at the fork tube to ensure there are no nicks etc? Minute defects on the tubes make fork seals wear out fast. The GSXRs tended to do this and the remedy is fork tube protection from debris.

they said everything looked good, bushings are good. so i'm getting new seals and dust caps. the first set i went through was from the previous owner and 2nd set was learning to wheelie ( and yes i can rock them). 3rd sets a charm

Ah yes wheelies are tough on fork seals...from what I've heard
