We forget the pavement is cold and the tires. The leaves are slick as snot. The oily film from the center line is everywhere. The tires are not as flexible or may be worn a bit and not channeling the water away. Available traction to stop is reduced in a panic. The face shield fogs up at the least opportune time. Visiblity is reduced. Spray from truck tires or car tires can catch you unaware at a critical time. These are just a few things to put in the fore front of the noggin before a ride. |
