| Shredder Joined: Feb 2008 From: Olympia I Ride: XR650R | So went and checked some more trail out at CF. It is all really dry, only a couple of places had standing water that can be navigated around or charged through. The deeper into the woods I got the less maintained things became. How do you all feel about riding over loose 6-8" crushed rock? There were a couple of areas that were rather technical on street tires. I guess we could hit the trails until everyone worn out and then blast the fireroads? Dust was not too bad on the lesser traveled stuff. And that theory about tards not getting tickets is still true. 41 in a 25 and he let me off. We were coming at each other around a blind corner and surprised each other. Damn near ran me over as he was fumbling to get the lights turned on. I took the wind out of his sails by pulling over before he could get turned around. Nice guy, and you are welcome VW driver for getting the cop off your ass, I know you were about to get pulled too. |

I got talked to on the way home from grabbing the photo tag afterwards. I pulled off the road in tumnwater to get him off my tail, but he followed me in and chatted. He just said he was an avid rider too and I should tone it down in the city. "I know what these bikes are for, wheelies, stoppies and tearing shit up." He was cool. Smacked it at speed, spotted it after it was too late to do anything about it, did not think I hit it that hard did not even feel it. Stopped at the next intersection and found that mess. And that was with 30psi in the tires. Time for some beefy Excel rims. |
