Yes. First time in the morning.

The blue smoke, under those conditions, would indicate, as mentioned, oil leaking around the valve stem seals. But I'm sure that the car has been driven hard (why bother to modify it otherwise?), and, at 113k miles, some wear to the valve seals can be expected. Until it gets a lot worse, don't worry about it.

it might not be your thing but i saw an '06 mercedes sl600 for sale (twin turbo v12 ~600hp) for sale for $16000. it too had a rebuilt title.
to me, cars with anything other than clean titles are worthless. if it gave you problems and you wanted to sell it one day, good luck!

Do you have the clutch disengaged when you turn it off? If not, that's just the torque tube between the engine and transmission rattling.

It was explained to me that the "clattering" noise after I turn it off could also be exhaust overlap in the intake tract.

I didn't watch the vid, but there is a simple test. Get in the car, start it up. Make sure you step on the clutch pedal, and then turn the car off. If the noise goes away, it was just the torque tube rattling. If it doesn't then it is something else.

By the way, it's worth the two hour trip to Snohomish to have Speed Secrets work on your car. He does really good work and his rates are reasonable.

Anybody know how to work on cars? I don't have a garage at my house and just need to install a radiator, horn, skid plate, and then put the front fascia back on.
