Anyone who pushes a bike over should be hung. Same with Key'n a car, you deal with the person not the property...

I got pulled over last week on my bike, just traveling my normal pace to work, in the middle of a line of about 15 cars, traveling 70. The lead car sees him every one slowes to 64ish, he jumps on the freeway with lights blazing. Pulls in behind me and pulles me over and tickets me for 70 in a 60.

Then 2 days ago, I get pulled in the same spot in my 1986 subaru wagon, for "modified exhaust" WTF. My car isnt even loud? (last I knew it had to be over 95 decible's to be illegal, but now its soo broad, that its totally officers discretion; RCW 46.37.390) And its been the exact same for years now. He just got on the freeway and pulled me from the 3rd lane over for this? Now I know that the first one was the obviously for an endorsment check and the seccond was for an insurance check but WTF man, and oh yes, I got tickets both times, But thats why Tim Coogan is my friend... Its because of guys like this that cause more patrol.......
THose are some bullshit tix, Jess. Too bad it wasn't a chief. You would've gotten a pass...

This can easily get someone shot!

The car/bike did absolutly nothing to you, nor will it for anything that happens to it. Take it up with the rider/ driver. BUT that doesnt mean I havent kicked the door/fender of my share of cars trying to share lanes.

Everyone that worries about lane splitting needs to look outside out little sphere.

In the rest of the world it is seen as normal, and is often done for safety an convenience. But here we all act like a bunch of ninnies. 'Omg, he was being so dangerous!', and other shit like that.

No, it wasn't me, but what that 'brainless rider' was doing was not making him/her more likely to crash. Because when it all comes down to it and the studies are done it just doesn't even show up.
If you don't want to split, then don't, but quit thinking it is going to get me or someone else killed, because it doesn't.

But as vtwin pointed out, don't be an asshole and cut cars off either.

Just from my POV I really didnt read this whole post. I just want to say from my own eyes, the way I saw this guy ride. I really didnt see much splitting. I just saw unnecessary speed and cutting people off. I agree with you about splitting. I do it sometimes aswell. I just have been making my way through traffic and seen him just fly by me. Its just drawing attn to the area is all.

I had this happen to me back a few years ago in spokane when i was driving a late 70's cadillac.

It'd just passed emissions ~2w prior & although slightly 'loud' compared to the day it rolled off the floor, the car was by no means modified or had any real problem going on.

I didn't use an attorney but i subpoenaed the officer who didn't show up but even so the judge made me argue and i think the only thing i did was re-state what the ticket said in that "the officer thought my exhaust was loud" *edit* i may have tossed the emissions test in the mix too - it was tossed out.

As long as the guy didnt wreck it or cause someone else to then more power to the psycho... if he can perform well at those speeds in rain, switching lanes like partners at a 70's swingers party, then damn! He deserves to ride quick... when it comes down to it im glad he is military! Those are the gunho boys we need overseas! 1-sec of hesistation gets you killed in either aspect!

Damn straight any hessitation and you can have your as shot off for not pulling your weapon and putting rounds down range. I am a combat veteran and agree but yet you come back from iraq you tend to think that you are indestructable and that mode of thought is one of the leading causes of deaths on motorcycles when it comes to the military. To each their own let them live their life how they want.

Why chase someone down to whip their ass is it really worth the time road rage assult that you are committing. Dare some ass jockey to chase me down for speeding and want to give me an ass whipping cause they deal with business end of my 40 cal.

I swear officer I was in fear of my life look at the size of that guy he could have killed me with his bare hands.

If you are not a cop piss off you have no right to chase someone down and fuck with them.

???? did you read what I posted? When traffice is going 55+ mph and its raning and he is doing prob 65-70 weaving from lane to lane...thats not doing anything dangerous? or more likley to crash??? like I said I want splitting to be legal but thats not what this guy was doing
