Team Oregon Instructors in PDX - Question for ya
Heya.

Okay so I drove down to KFalls for my BRT on Friday, and Class ended today at 4:30 PM.

I scored a 5 on the skills test.

I missed 11 out of 50, resulting in a 78, on the Knowledge test.

Now I have to reschedule for a retake.

Is it possible for a Team Oregon Instructor to do a 1 on 1 retake on the Knowledge test with me? I can Pass it this time, I swear;

The earliest retake schedule is July 11th, and I REALLY want to participate in a Tuesday or Wednesday ride with you all THIS WEEK.

I reckon it is not possible, but I figured I would ask !!!

As long as you are riding in daylight hours with other licensed bike riders, you can ride with a group on your permit.

I have a bad feeling about this.

Sorry to hear you didn't do so hot on the test. There is always going to be group rides and daily meets though. Get the endorsement and insurance if you don't already have it.

Hey Marlon, I said, go to the DMV today and get your learning permit, at least you'll be able to ride with others, from and to your house, I could meet you if you want.

Busa,

Thanks man - I already have my permit. =)

You know whats funny? I passed the DMV Knowledge Test (Need to, to get a permit) but I missed the BRT Knowledge test by one; I Aced the BRT skills test (well, I scored a 5 - the lower the score, the better).

Its too bad I couldnt combine the two to get my Endorsement.

Thanks for the offer though, that is truly nice of you. Maybe this Tuesday or Wednesday, you can ride with me to Avas or whatever, so I do have a licensed rider with me.

Just go to dmv and schedule for a riding test since you already have the permit. If you passed the riding test in BRT, it should be a peice of cake passing the DMV one.

An instructor would need your paper work. Its best to do the retake. Then you have the BRT card too and might get a Ins. break.

Yeah the way the BRT Knowledge test questions are worded threw me off. Maybe it because Im really not that smart. But I can ride ! Thanks for the offer - Ill think on that.

Marlo, that's another choice....call the DMV and see if they have one for tomorrow....check the SHERWOOD one...all you do its the riding part and you are on...... that's what I did....You can always still take BRT later....

ZING! Im scheduled for my Skills test at the Beaverton DMV next for Wednesday. I cannot schedule a retake on the BRT Knowledge test till 5 days after my BRT course; so I will schedule a retake for the 11th (hopefully)

Thanks for all your feedback. You guys rock.

Sounds like you got it worked out. I don't think they let us do one-on-one, for a ton of reasons. But there are written retest sessions on 7/12, since there aren't any classes over the 7/4 weekend.

Im shooting for the 7/11 C group at PCC Sylvania, according to the green "Shame" sheet I got from the instructors. By the way, your colleagues Tom Nott from Roseburg and Stuart Holmes from Medford did a fantabulous job with the class. Props to you guys!
