Ok, sounds like we are going to have quite the group. New meeting time is Thursday July 16th at 7pm at Ruby Tuesday 14550 SW Murray Scholls Dr, Beaverton, OR Please everyone try to make it, especially if this is your first time on this trip. This will allow everyone to get to know each otherand discuss the first and second days route, etc. Bend folks, i'll keep you in the loop, you don't have to show for this one (not our first rodeo either

Get your new tires on the bikes now! Expect to burn through a set of tires, trust me on this one. Can't wait!!

hey folks I'm leaving myrtle point area July 26th, heading west to 101 and then South to San Diego down 1/101. I'll be visiting relatives there for a while so I doubt riding back with anyone will work out, but if anyone is interested in meeting up anywhere along that ride South (approx July 26th -> July 30th) let me know, I could sure use the company of an experienced touring rider. This is my first road trip and I'm going solo for 3k miles at this point. I'm going an easy pace, probably around 300 miles per day or so. Anyway if you are interested shoot me a PM and we can talk more to see if it would work out!

Wife said if I can split a room with someone to cut costs I can go. I have a fresh set of tires on the VFR So I wont be riding the SV1000s but the VFR is easy to travel on. SO Will anybody agree to split rooms with me?. I shower 2 times daily no matter what!! lol

Of course... I think just about everyone is looking to split rooms (some of us 4 to a room). The couples will probably want their own rooms.

ok my rear tire [pilot power 2ct] has 800 miles and my front looks new. I will just bring it Tuesday and you can tell me what you think. I should be good for 2200 miles on the rear and at least that on the front.

Sorry to hear that Daniel. Casch, Cool, See you tonight. I forgot to mention that this is a sportbike / sport ride, so cruisers are likely not appropriate for the pace of the group. But, we can talk about that tonight over a beer.

Sounds good, we'll talk tonight. Feel free to ask Soil or Neil what they think about my pace. I keep up fairly well with the group, but I do lag behind a bit on the tight twisties. I have no problem keeping a quick pace and dragging my running boards though.

Yes I meant thursday. I was sleepy when I posted that. 7 pm is also right about the time traffic clears up so I may be a little late but I am coming. I live on the eastside close to troutdale

1. Meet at Wilsonville Chevron off of Wilsonville Road (just east of I5) at 8am.
2. Slab to Eugene (ugh!)
3. Take the Loraine HWY - Cottage Grove Loop
4. Right on 99 to London Road
5. London Road to Elkhead Road via scotts valley road
6. Back in I5 South
7. Riddle to Cow Creek Road
8. Reuben Road into Glendale
9. Glendale to I5
10. I5 to Grants Pass
11. 199 to Cave Junction
12. Indian Creek Road to Happy Camp
13. 96 to 299 Junction
14. 299 to Weaverville
15. Swimming pool, beer and steaks.

Total mileage 478
Slabbing down to Cave Junction then down to Weaverville is about 438 miles.

It will be a full day!

Sorry I could'nt make it guys and gals. I had to put in double time last week to square away the 2 weeks I have off starting Monday. Its a little after 1AM sunday and I just got home from my EPIC 35th B day ride. Sat the 18th was my 35th. I missed a call from the trip planner and may have gotten myself kicked off for lack of communication. I understand no one would want to do a long trip with me until we meet so I am hoping to meet up with Zygoat today or monday to hopefully get approved to travel. I am a mellow, happily married, guy and I love to ride motorcycles. Here is a pic of me from my trip to Mexico last june. I will be riding the same bike but it has hard givi bags now.

I carry a tire pump, sport bike tire plugs, tools, and a laptop sometimes a bike mounted cam.
