I may be able to make this, happy to help out.

If I do, I'll be leaving eastside, through Stafford, out wilsonville, bald peak, and into hagg from the twisties.

Using an old great route Transported linked up once. I can't find the link, or remember the roads, (sucks getting old) but I can ride them.

I Ride: because I can't not ride.
I could show y'all a really interesting route from Marlon's place to Hagg Lake - minimal traffic / max twisties... (& no 'stoplight Grand Prix'...).

Might be just a bit challenging for true newbs, but what better way to learn??
(I could leave out Laurelwood Rd - downhill & mostly off-camber).

I also have another less twisty/less challenging route in mind (my bicycle route) that's still a heck of a lot nicer and more interesting than TV Hwy...

I'd be happy to lead at a mellow pace until Hagg, then let OP take over.

I guess I could go play the Reserve or Quail Valley then - anyone up for nine or 18??

Well, it sounds like this may not happen today.

I already had plans to take my daughter to buy a new bicycle today, so I'm going to go ahead and do that.

Have fun golfing.

Let's all maybe try this again next weekend (Saturday?)

- I'll be happy to lead a mellow Group Ride and show you some great local roads.
My bike is my daily commuter, and I drive a truck for a living - a ticket could adversely affect my job, and I can't get to work if I crash my bike, so I take it pretty mellow nowadays (mostly...)

Rat

ps - Hagg Lake Road is an excellent practice/training facility due to the variety of corners etc. and relatively little traffic - everyone just take it easy there so as to not cause a crackdown and spoil the fun.
Thx

I will be at the east side meet up spot if anyone is still interested in going from the east side. If no one shows up i am going to go to the beach instead.

Me and Shadowgazer are meeting Twisted and Marlon at Marlon's Place. We have a twisty way to get to Hagg Lake as an option.

We will be riding at a noob pace = slow, so if you want to hang knees or even close this ride is not for you. Last time we had a good mix of new riders and more experienced riders, so if you want to come out and help our noobs get some seat time please come out. The plan is to do three to four laps, around the lake depending on fatigue. Each lap is about 10.4 miles, so I'm tentatively saying 4 laps should work. We will stop after each one to make sure everyone is comfortable, get/give pointers, a quick Q&A, and some hydration. If your nervous about group rides this is a great opportunity to have a fun safe day while getting to know some fellow PNWR. Hope to see you out there.
Vilches and I will be there.
