Sunday 7/12 Hagg Lake Noob Ride @ Noon
After a successful noob ride last weekend around the west hill it's time for more riding, but this time out at Hagg lake. Kickstands up at Noon from the Southern most parking lot, please do your best to show up 15-20 minutes or so for preride review. Let me restate last weeks ride overview. We will be riding at a noob pace = slow, so if you want to hang knees or even close this ride is not for you. Last time we had a good mix of new riders and more experienced riders, so if you want to come out and help our noobs get some seat time please come out. The plan is to do three to four laps, around the lake depending on fatigue. Each lap is about 10.4 miles, so I'm tentatively saying 4 laps should work. We will stop after each one to make sure everyone is comfortable, get/give pointers, a quick Q&A, and some hydration. If your nervous about group rides this is a great opportunity to have a fun safe day while getting to know some fellow PNWR. Hope to see you out there.

Where will you be leaving from to go to Hagg Lake? Or is everyone meeting there?

I'm thinking Southern most parking lot, but we could meet up off 26 somewhere if people think that would work better.

Maybe, but I am running DOT race tires, so even slabbing to work wears them down.

He had 2 sets when I got them, I should have picked up the other set, but I was broke as hell. They probably wouldn't fit your bike anyway, 120/70 front, 180/55 rear.

Well, the front would. the rear, not so much. Maybe you could squeeze it onto your rim.

Dumb question, but I am still new to the area and never been to Hagg lake. What is the best way to get there from say TV Hwy and Murray Hills? I am noob rider and would like to join in as well.

Here is the lake

I am not exactly sure where the parking lot is. Perhaps Max will post an updated link in the main post.

There's one to the left of the A and up about 3/8", another one to the right of the A and down about 3/8", and what looks like gravel turn out down in the bottom right corner strait below the A till you hit trees and to the right about 1".

(at least those are the ones I can see in the photo)

I don't live too far from Murray and Farmington - If you want, you can buzz over to my place and we can wait for Eugene and Twisted; we can then all buzz out to the Lake.

The lot I'm referring to is the one with the blue marker at the south end of the lake. Sorry I didn't get to this sooner, work, work, work. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...52264&t=h&z=13

If anyone from the east side would like to meet up and ride out together i will be at the gateway starbucks. I am thinking KSU at 10:00 so we have plenty of time to get out there.

Hopefully someone who knows how to get out there will join. I will print out the directions just in case.

The almighty google says it will take about 45 mins to get there from Murray/TV intersection. We should try to meet up around 10:45-11:00 to make sure we have plenty of time before KSU at Hagg.

(For people meeting up at PDXMarlon's house)

Which one is the Gateway Starbucks? It's been a while but I've been out to Hagg Lake a number of times when I lived on the West side.
