the callahan center, there was a hospital nearby as well, but it has been torn down.

Supposedly there is a full-time onsite guard at it, but me and a couple buddies checked it out a few weeks ago with no problems. Cool place.

It has a wikipedia page, if you want to read more about it.

Eugene, you wrote in the two minutes I was looking for the correct thread. Good timing.

There are other links in the thread about the building.

Let me know when - have to be a Sat or Sun.

I love Urban Exploring, especially creepy old abandoned places, industrial facilities, factories, etc., and anything underground or tunnels.

If anyone knows of any other cool places to surreptitiously explore let's maybe get a group together.

Yeah, and keep cops out of it.

I did a little searching and found couple interesting things.
Here is a arial picture from 1960 of a Dammasch that is already gone.

How much more fun it would be to explore something this big?

Whats left now is Living Enrichment Center (AKA The Callahan Center), still interesting.

if you go see it, DO NOT go on your bike.

There is some nasty gravel in a couple spots, including a sharp corner/intersection. It is about an inch deep thick gravel, not just a little from a driveway.

If this is the one Im thinking of..Dammash Mental Hospital in Willsonville Oregon I did explore this place after it was shut down.

Even after it was shut down, prior to demolition My dad, brother and I who always did this sort of exploring snuck in and drove all over the place.

We got caught my onsite security so we told them what we were doing, just exploring...The guy was nice, asked us to sign in on a sheet they had up front and they let us go anywhere.

A Hollywood movie, navy seals or something like that was filmed there as well.

My dad in his younger years when doing some work with police dpt transported multiple people there while it was still in use.

Pretty cool place over all but after it was closed there were pentagrams all over in many of the patient rooms.
