Where to get Women's Motorcycle Gear?
So At some point here in the next two months, I need to get SOME of the following:

*Pants
*Leather Jacket
*Motorcycle Gloves
* Boots

I have my helmet and my Joe Rocket Textile Jacket. My gloves are just Snowboarding gloves...but you would never know looking at them.

NOW that I'm getting my OWN MOTORCYCLE I need to get some gear to kinda match. Robert's buying me Mandalynn's motorcycle

( Head turning KZ 550 Limited (very low miles) )

Anyway- My jacket is Black with Green and white flowers on it

and my helmet is white. I need to know where a good place to get gear is....FOR A GIRL!!! Everywhere I go seems like they have little to NO selection!

Is it THAT hard to find Cute/attractive gear for girls? Most places have the generic stuff that look like I should be riding a Harley.

Where can a girl get good Gear?!?!

(DISCLAIMER-I'M NOT TRYING TO SELL ANYTHING OR REPOST ANYTHING..my links are just to give people an idea of what I'm looking for....)

You can try cyclegear in auburn. Boots and stuff. http://www.cyclegear.com/city_location.cfm?Store=19 or ridewest http://www.ridewest.com/ and southsound BMW http://www.southsoundbmw.com/. Ducati Seattle has alittle bit of womens stuff. http://ducatiseattle.com/docs/home.php. Womens gear is a real pain in the ass to find. I'm buying my girl a new Rev'it coat from Ducati or ridewest. Ridewest has good womens gear on sale at up to 50 percent off right now. Don't skimp on a winter jacket or you'll freeze your little ass off. No fun !!!

Here is how you beat the system.

Go to Beaverton Honda Yamaha Suzuki
They have tons of gear and lots of great people to help
(make sure it fits right and all that good stuff)

Then when you find exactly what you want......

Go online and find the best price. (because Beaverton is $$$$$)

Because Bob Lanphere's Beaverton Honda is a "small" local business......

Bob's prices are a garentee 10% higher than retail (unless on sale)

If it was Vicious Cycle (who i love and support) it would be a different story.

You wouldnt happen to work for Bob would you?

We sell women's gear... Just find what you want, size and all, and PM me. I'm sure I'll earn the business... a number of others on the forum are regulars in the shop.

ive had no experience with them but it irks me to see people go to any place that has "tons of gear and lots of great people to help you", take advantage of that and then go to the internet to purchase. Maintaing a healthy stock and having good customer service is the only way a local shop can compete with the internets pricing.

not defending beaverton honda, if its the shop im thinking of then they do have a shitty rep for screwing over customers, just talking general principal of the matter.

Tried to send you a PM but not sure if it went anywhere. Check out the link in my signature. They have another site called jakewilson.com that looks like it is mostly street stuff. I know nothing about street gear but if you see something interesting I can get you a decent discount.

you should also just look online at manufacturer's sites--that is the easiest--if you were in WA i'd tell you to check out cycle barn.. but sounds like that might be too far for you! goodluck!

My girlfriend just did the online shopping guess fit based on reivews, then order and return for better size. Took her a few tries to find gear that fit well (they're all different, and small from one manufacturer is medium for another, and even within their own product lines it can change).

She tried newenough.com, and they have great service, but are slow compared to Motorcycle Superstore, which I believe ships out of Roseburg (she got stuff in 1-2 days, and they're just as easy as newenough with returns):

Yes, it's hard to find women's gear, especially good looking, with protection and warm or waterproof. I get almost all of my gear from Motorcycle Superstore. Big selection but trial and error on sizes.

Yeah motorcycle superstore is a great place. They will have grea sales. Also their shipping is fast due to the fact they are located in Medford, OR. I get my tires through them.

Yeh- It's REALLY hard to find gear built for built women! The shops are all geared for guys & the manufacturers just "pink" the guys stuff- that is, they take the gear they make for guys & downsize it some & call 'er good! Blah! This is one of my pet peaves.
I recently found a website: Bohn-Armor-Pants.com. & ordered a pair of their Adventure pants. They have great removable armor and can be worn under anything you want to wear over them! So, you get to wear your skinny jeans or leathers, whatever ! They also make an armor shirt- same deal. You can get the basic garment in lycra or mesh for warm temps.
Check it out! I found the pants really comfy. I think I'll get the shirt, even though I already have a few jackets. I think it would be great for summer & added protection under my jackets.
btw- it's really cool you got your own bike! I did that a couple of seasons ago....best thing I've done for myself! Have fun & be safe!

It's hard to find good looking women's gear that's NOT PINK!

MotoCorsa has a good collection of women's Dainese gear.
If you have a similar body built as me, Dainese will fit perfect.

1) Cograts on the bike-
2) I get all my gear from Doc Browns- he isnt restocking his gear much these days and he sells stuff at a discount. You may not find what you need there, but if you do it will be at a great price. Plus Docs is a true Portland Exp. I am gonna miss him when he retires. And he stands behind his stuff. When the zipper blew out on my jacket he sent me to Miriam and paid the bill.

(And Aperilla works with Doc)
Ash.. when are you getting the bike??
If you want a girl to ride with, I'm all yours. Its TOTALLY different
A)learning from a female if you are one vs a male
and
B) Learning from somebody who you are not in a relationship with.
(I say that just because I assume Robert will teach you)
Once you start getting slightly comfortable with shifitng and stuff, lets go out.

Im excited for you!

oh yeah- and i end up ordering most of my gear online.
www.her-motorcycle.com has good tips for how to find good gear for women.

Hey us guys have to have a market somewhere. Go to any retailer and compare the womens and mens selection and you will quickly realize how much we get the shaft.
BTW I also need gear for my wife.

I'm a HUGE fan of motorcyclesuperstore.com They have a pretty killer clearance section and they will let you return almost anything - even sale items, no joke. I got a hot pair of ICON brand riding jeans (kevlar enforced knees and hips) for $8. Shipping is reasonable, too.

PLUS, they're located in Medford - support your OR economy!! Or, shoooot, let's just take a ride down there and go shopping once you've got the bike! : )
