So I wrote a little about this in my thread about us moving...but in case someone may kinda breeze by that....Here's the thing.. Robert and I have a CRAP LOAD of stuff! We rented a 24' truck and still didn't get everything. We have probably another good truck load or two left...however- we don't own a truck. If anyone has a truck we can borrow for a day, please let either Twistedwest or me know. I was originally going to try and move it all tomorrow...however, we are BROKE BROKE BROKE till friday...so it looks like we will need the truck for this upcoming monday. we will pay for our own gas and whatnot...and buy you a beer or something...Or- if you can wait a couple weeks...we will get you a gift cert. to the motorcycle shop of your choice....... Please let me know if anyone could help us out! It would mean A LOT to both me and robert! Thank you! -Ash |

I removed the intake manifold and had it ported and polished (I know a kid so it was free), modded the cold air box to be ram air intake, and even put a friggen flowmaster exhaust on the beast... along with a 180 degree thermostat (reduces engine temperature, less effecient but noticably more power on my truck). Even with all that ridiculousness I run around 16mpg city, and I'm talking tons of stop lights getting groceries truck hasn't even warmed up by the time I stop city driving! Sure it's a wimpy v6, but I can still pull trailers loaded with tons of stuff, and I got a 107mph speeding ticket in the thing. It's far from weak sauce! What the hell are you guys driving? Even better yet what the hell do you need a V10 for? Are you towing small planets up Mt. Hood???? |

It was always nice when going over to Lake Billy Chinook to be able to maintain speed going over Hood while my buddy was turning off the A/C because he was overheating his big block Chevy. Of course, i got the truck back in '98 when gas was under $2 per gallon... |

Hey, I have a 92 dakota v-6 auto, fully stock, and it's not wimpy at all!!! ..... ok, maybe a lil, but still, 188k miles and she still starts and runs everyday!!! Have loaded the bed with over 1000lb of stuff before and she still gets around, 2 wheel drive too... don't knock the 3.9! It's a great motor.

It's get up and go is somewhat lack luster. Hell it's an automatic though, so I suppose I don't know it's full capabilities. I do know i replaced the damn heater core on it though, and that was a massive headache. People aren't kidding when they say the dakota was built around the heater core.
