Yep, that was pretty sweet. All roads still good, just a few leaf swirls here and there. Fiji, sooo good to see you out and about!

Other than a wheelie right in front of me, I have no complaints.

Hey good riding with you folks…I bailed out on return to get my fix on some fire roads…good times, but had to cut it short as it was getting chilly tonight…..oh well, maybe tomorrow.

Thanks for putting this together Brian…it is therapeutic to be out and about on 2 wheels…

Yup...I witnessed one last night too....But overall, a very good and considerate rider! My night vision is close to a granny's and you were nice enough to slow down and be my night light so I didn't trip over some deers.

Thanks for the feed back, not quite sure i understand the danger of wheelies yet I guess, seems that anytime someone gets hard the front is floating. Please explain the difference between 1" and 12" off the ground? I am seriously curious. (not trying to be funny)

A wheelie is always considered by law enforcement to be reckless riding, most likely an automatic license suspension and huge fine. Doing wheelies in a group is putting everyone you're riding with in danger of getting cited for reckless riding.

Plus, we've had incidents where some clown pulls a wheelie and creams someone else.

If you want to pull serious wheelies, get far away from others.

I got the fuck away from you after you pulled a wheelie in front of me on the Wednesday ride. Sorrow dude, but I draw quick conclusions when someone does that near me when I don't know them.

The ticket for a wheelie is actually call exebition of speed, it only becomes reckless when you exceed the speed limit by more then 15mph,(been there done that) is it ok for motards to do them? How much of an idoit do you have to be to run someone over? Im sorry I made you nervous but still curious about the difference between 1" and 12". I really would like to understand. besides I wasnt trying to ride it out just pop it up.

I personally don’t mind wheelies, if I know the rider and that he can do it safely and be controlled. But overshooting corners (did I say I saw it today) - I don’t like picking up body pieces you see...

Oh, Motards don’t shift without wheelies…

Like I said in another thread, a motard can pop the front up at 15 mph. On a liter bike you're going to be around 50 mph, and by the time it's balanced, you'll probably be doing 70. That's why I wheelie the tard. Well that, and I'm not worried about crashing it.

That is key. If I know the person and already trust them, then I'm more lenient (twisties4me comes to mind). And, motards are like gnats; just push them out of the way if they get in front of you.

My first exposure to Qbert was him flying by me as we were getting into formation on 30 and then he pulls a wheelie on the most exposed roadway of the evening. Not a good first impression. Everything cried out "squid!" to me.

I'm going to rely on my second impression, I think.

QBERT! Dont pull that on Sundays ride to the Coast!! JKING you can wheelie all you want, just give your self plenty of space. Rather infront of me not behind me(Feel safer knowing there is not a bike in the air behind me)

Transported: Good idea
