Sounds like a perfect ride if you just finished one of Clay's newbie rides.

It will be a long day so bring water. I have left a message for the Backwoods Cafe at Eco Park letting them know we were coming. We will be arriving around 12-1 for lunch. then up to Johnston Ridge Observatory. Once again this is an all day trip so make sure you and your gear are up to the task. See you Saturday

I was just checking the route and kinda thinking that's a damn round about way to get to St. Helens, but according to google maps it's just as fast as wind river road (Fluffy led a trip down that, it was rad). I've also never seen that part of the state (Vernonia) so I'm feeling like i am down.

My attendance will be based on whether or not I managed to install the acewell gauge tomorrow night for my bike. If it's done, I am there!

Thanks for the ride Darin.
Sorry that I had to split. It was chilly out and I found it hard to focus. Hope you guys had an enjoyable rest of the ride.

Hope it went well. I got the gauge and everything in, but it was the drinking afterwards that kept me from making this ride. I wasn't even awake at 8:30!

I had lots of fun, despite it being really cold, and wet. But that was only the first few hours, once we broke out of the clouds it was awesome.

Thanks for the ride, Darin. It was a lot of fun, great for a new rider.

It was a little cold (and rainy once we started heading up towards the mountain), but once we got up above the clouds the weather was beautiful.

I can't complain too much about the rain, at least I have a rear fender on my bike and didn't have water spraying up onto my back.

Yeah I would have the same and with no sleep would have been worse.

I didn't get home and to sleep until about that time. LONG NIGHT.

I did want to go though. UGH bad choice I made last night.

I don't think it was lack of fender as much as the size of the ass.

Thanks. Yeah I'm doing the Coast Trip, but I'm trying to figure out what to wear because it's going to be cold or drink some coffee, even though I'm on a diet *water only*.

You should come though.
