Should be healed in two months or so, I don't know how long after that till I'm riding again, but it shouldn't be too long. I wish I could be out there with you guys as the weather turns cold, really! All I have is my motogp races to look forward to, I may hobble down to Kelly's Olympian for one of the remaining races. -Pete |

I had a broken foot one year and a broken leg the next. I was back on my bike within two weeks both times. I broke the left foot in 1980. So my buddy turned the shifter up on my 79 XL500S so I could hit it with my heel to upshift. I just had to be careful stopping so I got the proper foot down. With my broken leg in 1981 the same buddy installed mini engine guards on my Maxim One with road pegs and I rested my right foot on it (the cast went all the way to my ass) and just used the front brake. I was all over that way, and even got a thumbs up from a chopper rider on the freeway. The doc was a little peeved when he saw the back of the cast wearing out. I was back on the scooter in two weeks with my shattered right wrist last year. But that really hurt and I couldn't go too far. LOL jim | |
