Tuesday, ride to Ava's... (New rider 'friendly') 10-6, 5:30
ONE more time!

problem is - DARK! so - DIFFERENT meeting place in order to get to twisties quicker!

Meet HERE by 5:30 - neeeed to be rolling by 535! (sorry to those that can't make it due to work!) There is a church on this corner, will be in one of the parking lots.

No 'speech' other than questions answered to first timers on this ride.

Hope to roll into Ava's by 7:15 - so this is going to be a 'new rider friendly ride - not a new rider ride.

While this season was tragic in some ways - it was also a huge success in others. The 'attitude' here on pnw has actually changed a LOT this season - people aren't as quick to SLAM folks like Dox after he posted about his first crash, where as I vividly recall a much harsher and 'angrier' pnw last season. Brady's TNC coffee alone has built friendships and bonds that almost bring a tear to my eye!

maybe that is one of the reasons the end of this season is so sad to me...

agreed Clay, we PNW Portland area guys have become a bit of a family for sure... And yes it has been a tragic one for the fallen friends, but hopefully that has taught us all lessons about being sane on the roads, slowing down and being smart in your riding. Every fatal accident that happened this season was due to rider error and going to fast, Leo was going high speed and lost his concentration when he hit a truck, KJ took a corner too hot, Louie was cut off from a car, but had he been going slower he would've increased his chances of survival, we should all know when we can unleash our speed demon and when to cage him up and I think this year taught us this lesson....

My bike coming out of DnS will push roughly 166HP with the new power commander and full racing exhaust, it can go so f'ing fast it carries my 235lb fat ass faster than most corvettes will go, so what am I gonna do? go slower, enjoy the ride, and then take it to the track.

Sweet ride Clay. This is the third of these I've been on and by far the most enjoyable. As a slower rider I think posting up in the back of the caravan helped me enjoy things a bit more without the pressure of a faster rider behind me.

And, this particular route was stellar. Hit all the high points and the views to the sunset were spectacular. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the group appeared to all be on the same page with no stringing out or bunching up. This is what it's all about. Thanks again for leading the charge.......Now if only the weather would stay this way for a couple more weeks.....
