Black '04 Kawi ZX10R Stolen from SE Portland!
Last night my neighbors Kawasaki ZX10R was stolen from right in front of his house; 63rd and Woodward.

It's a black 2004 Kawasaki ZX10R with tons of go fast parts on it; power commander, frame sliders, Ohlins, magnesium this and that. It was set up for the track.

The only real identifying item on it is a yellow sticker on left rear portion of the fairing near the seat; he said it was for some sort of chain.

Anyway, chances are it'll never ever turn up and the dude will get away with it but if you are found out pray that I don't get my hands on you.

So if any of you suddenly see a bunch of go-fast Kawi parts come up for sale let me know. My neighbor and the po-po would appreciate it. I'll see if I can come up with a photo.

Thanks.

Not Cool!
Its one thing to steal a car and leave someone stranded. But to jack someones motorcycle, where there's a deeper connection between a rider and his/her motorcycle, thats f@#$ up!!!

We all could use some fuzzy "testie" dice to remind those with idle hands, BEWARE!

I got my eyes peeled, bro. Hope you find your bike.

How about a photo? and the plate # in case who ever stole it is dumb enough to ride with the plates still on it. A VIN # would be good too...that way if any of us see it in a parking lot we can check it out.

I'll try to get that info from my neighbor tonight and post it. I told him I'd post it to the forum just to get some more eyes out there. You never know.

It sucks for him. He has a buddy coming in from Denmark and they were going to go riding this weekend. Now they can't. I'd lend him my 500F but it ain't running.

It could have been worse (meaning they could have taken snagged three bikes), my Duc was parked outside and my other neighbors BMW was too.

I can't believe they snatched it from right on front of his house, I mean RIGHT in front. Jerkovs.

I'll keep my eye out for it, as well... You might want to let the shops in town know about it, as well. Sometimes guys start buying other parts for them to 'disguise' them/alter them... I'll be wary of anyone calling our shop for '04 ZX10 stuff, now.

I hope they (1) catch the thief who stole it and (2) you get your bike back, un-soiled...

Is it a TRACK bike, or a street-bike (with headlights/OEM plastics)? "Track-ready" could mean either...

I'd say, and I think Ken would agree, that it's a Street Bike that's Track Ready. I remember it having all it's OEM plastics.

Ken, correct me if I'm wrong...

there is a post for a 04 - 06 ZX10 power commander and K&N filter on CL my email addresses all have my name can someone email them and get the serial number (you can say to check the fitment for your bike) I think the paper work for the commander was in the compartment but the previous owner may still have his paper work and registration on it.

Is it wrong that I am suspicious of this?

I really miss my bike !!!!

That really sucks. Were it me I'd probably hope to never find him since I'd be going to jail if I did

I've been eyeying all the ZX-10's I don't know. Hopefully something turns up. If I find him I'll happily detain him for you until you and the police get there

Get some Disk Brake locks or something, I need to get them. Now that your bike is missing from OUR AREA I'm afraid mind will end up missing even though I have cameras set up.

I'll keep my eye out and I put a hit out for the bike. I had something stolen from me and my people found it, hopefully they will find yours. Good luck!

NO DOUBT! If it's legit, let Rob (BlackSabbatical) know about it... he will need one now that he's got his new, full-Micron system...

@Sportrider3000: Thanks for tolerating our amateur investigation. It was a timing thing. His bikes goes then some parts pop up on CL. We had to check it out. You got back right away with the serials so obviously they aren't off the stolen bike.

Kinda of an odd way to welcome someone to the forum but...welcome.
