Rider Down on US 101 near Cannon Beach
I heard a rider went down south of Cannon Beach. Guess he slid under a pickup truck. Whats with all the accidents this year? RIP rider.

The Associated Press updated the story and the rider was ID'd as Alan Gelvin from Seattle.

I didn't know him. Maybe someone on this board did. Sad.

You gotta watch those curves. I was on that stretch of highway this past summer and took it pretty slow, not 'cause I didn't think I could handle the twisties, but there was so much traffic I could never be sure there wasn't some slow-moving RV or something just around the bend.
