Even though it's been raining for a bit there are still some fairly oil laden areas out there. Delta Park was particularly bad this morning. It's usually bad, but this time it was really slippy. |

| Pit Crew Joined: Jan 2009 From: Portland,OR I Ride: S2R 800 | not last wednesday but the wednesday before I was riding home from my friends house in downtown and I started slipping sideways down the crowned road. the arrows that indicate lanes (which are useually a bit slippery) were slick as ice. not enough to make me feel like I was gonna wreck but enough to make me pucker. |

Also watch out for metal parts such as connecting concrete to bridges in corners. I ride the ramp from I-5 North to 217 almost every day and the part where it connects is in a corner. Even though I slow way down to 40mph I always slip a little, I've learned to straighten up the bike at that point in my turn then continue on in the corner if I don't want to scare myself. |
