Any good gyms in Oregon city?
Ok, so we just moved to Oregon City...and I'm wondering, if there are any good gyms that are fairly cheap in the area...

Anyone have any ideas?

hell- if you know of any Gymnastics or Dance Gyms, that'd be even better....however I kinda doubt it.

Anyway- if anyone knows of anything on this side of the Portland Metro area, I would LOVE to find out!

Thanks!

There is one called Snap Fitness ...it's not in downtown Oregon City, it's near Clackamas Community College....it's a 24 hour gym. Not sure on the price

A bare-bones membership at 24-Hour costs me only about $18 a month.

and what exactly does bare-bones include?

Every gym I'm looking at is a MINIMUM of $30 a month with the student discount. Not horrible, but definitely could be better... Otherwise they are like $60-$90! (that's a little much!)

24 Hour Fitness Center is usually the way to go as you can take your class / workout in the N-hood; furthermore, if you are in other side of town there may be one for you in that location. Catch it during Thanksgiving, they will have somekind of special promotion.

One location and only four days a week. I can go M, W, F and Sunday. It is near my office, so works just fine for me at the one location. I also got the intro fee waived.

Ash.. my moms a trainer at the Snap in Lake O.. if the OC one is anything like it, its a good gym. They're small, so there's less members... and the equipments new. 30 bucks is about as good a deal as you will get.. and there will be sign up fees... but at Snap I believe you just pay for the door card.. which is 25 bucks. all locations are independent of each other.. so it could be different. But tanning at Snap is also the cheapest of any gym.. so if you ever wanted that, thats a plus. and 24 hrs is key.

Is the CCC gym still open to the public? I used to go there all the time when I was a young lad.

Yeah I went by there the other day(the one in O.C.). it's the closest to my house, but it's $25 for the key, plus a $50 1 time registration fee, and then for a student, it's $31.95 a month. It's not horrible pricing, but I was hoping for something more along the lines a $20 a month....Too bad I can't just pay your mom so much a month as a personal trainer.

lol. yeah..I'm not much of a runner. Actually, I was really proud of myself, last year was the first time I had run 2 miles since my knee surgeries...heck, it was the first time I had run even 1 mile since my knee surgeries. I just have to re-build up strength in my knee slowly before I can progress to running...sucks but what do ya do.

Eleah- how about I'll shoot for running a half marathon in 2013 ...maybe
