I have one word to describe these fools..... BADASS (wait is that one or two, lets seeeee onnnnneeee lemme clap it out Bad-assssssssss). I took my big black beast in knowing it was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY off calibration, because of my close relationship with Jim at DnS, Eric gave me a deal thru him for the powercommander and on top of that when he found out it was for me he gave me a great deal and did an AWESOME job. He took his time out to give it A-class attention even though they are buried.

Eric, for me to come to you and Gary look at my motorycle is like having Metallica play my birthday party, so please forgive my giddyness when I get around you guys, it comes from a place of deep respect, I love your Dad and Uncle Mike as close friends, and I see that your Dad raised you right and I see the same respect from you as I do your Father, god bless you and your new family!

Gary what else can I say other than I am honored to call you my freind and Mechanic

I am back in love with my motorcycle, although i dont go to the extreme of naming my machine, it is very much apart of me as I am apart of it, it is an extention and an expression of whole I am and what I represent, which is freedom to be bad ass, Eric you made me fall in love all over with my machine, I will come to you every 3 months to get standard maintanence
done.

BTW
Power before-158.60
Horsepower after-169.9
FT/Torque before-74.6
FT/Torque after-89.4

The numbers say it all, only way is could get faster is if I drop my gut

I was there at EDR this afternoon having a chat with E & G & Miss C and they where really happy about how your bike turned out.

Am very glad how EDR keeps on top of things; furthermore, they check stuff out such that if there is something else messed up, they are switched on enough to find the problem and let you know about it.

That is sooooo valuable, I dont' feel like I need to be parked over my bike watching their every twist of the wrench for fear that they will f things up.

Yeah Gary is like a top notch Bike Physician and gladly enough:

a) does not create a situation where you to turn head & cough
b) his rates are much more reasonable - figure our lives depend on the GMan
c) they are very good on following up on things to see how you liked the change they did.
d) no surprises on the price

as you know from our earlier conversation:
I had them dyno the RC and jeeps that thing was nuts over the "MAP" that was in the PC3

So I can understand the giddiness dude.

Happy to have you back on top of your Sabbatical Machine, now you will be rockin with a bit more authority and a lot less backfire/ fuel mix rich conditions. And conversely i won't be gagging on bad exhaust! LOL

Can't wait to hear it in person, bet she chirps nicely.

Rock On Dude!

Rob thanks for compliments, honestly your mapping was so off it's like I've said before, some bikes would run better with no pc than a poorly mapped one!!

Glad your happy bud. Always entertaining talking with someone that has more energy than me :-)

As for gain. Easy. His bikes filter was FILTHY, chain too tight and map was HORRIBLE! I mean ROLLER coaster bad and @80-100% throttle was WAY rich, getting filter clean, adjusting chain correctly, putting 34psi in tire correctly (not 27!) and getting A/F ratio correctly and yes 5-8% hp ain't hard to get it's all about the details and getting all working correctly!

I think actually Robs bike improved more at part throttle/steady throttle like 5-40%, I mean his map really was not correct for his set up.

Enjoy Rob!!

LIke I say,

When it comes to gear I hit cycle gear,

for general maintance I hit D n S (religiously)

when it comes to doing things high performance, there is only one place in Town: EDR, I will preach this till the day I die and you forever have a friend and customer in me Eric (might even get the logo tattooed).

update: I got the FI servo off ebay, 25 bucks (thanks for the tip!)

Think the next things im gonna do is have you guy have GP go thru the suspension in Jan or Feb.

Frame Sliders

braided break lines

decent rear sets (very low priority but im starting to hate the stock ones)

Does EDR have a pretty solid reputation for suspension setup?

I'd think they would put the bits on if there was anything that you'd want to add; however, GP would do the suspension adjustments at EDR, or the bike would go to GP for the adjustments.

HOwever, I could be incorrect..... not that i'd ever been in that catagory before.... Solid Suspension???

Call Ben at GP... He's the best. Tell him Doc sent ya. That'll guarantee he'll take GOOD care of ya. (He, personally, takes care of Doc/my race/track bikes.)

no we do NOT do suspension work. We use GP Suspension in Oregon City or KFG (GP North) in Seattle. They both are the best in the NW (maybe country!) and all we do is allow riders/racers one stop....most bring in bikes for other work, service, engine building, tuning, etc...and while here they want their suspension redone/serviced as well...so once we do our work, we park bikes in the back rows of bikes and remove the suspension for them and get them to either suspension shop for work. Its just something we do to try and save people time and travel. currently we have 13 bikes on stands with no forks/shocks...haha...maybe we are helping the suspension guys out too much??

Dave/Ben at GP or Barry at KFG are THE GUYS to talk to on suspension!
