I remember when cruising was legal. around 1978 or thereabouts.

there is nothing like the sound of a crispy crackly triple on Friday night.

Never owned one, but you cannot deny the unmistakable nastiness that is the widow maker. If you want attitude, there can be ONLY one...nothing else compares (legally).

twins are easier and cheaper to maintain..that is my excuse .

I HATE YOU ALL

I almost had all the 2 stroke oil out of my blood, and then this thread shows up.

THANKS - I have 7 bikes now and it looks like #8 will be an H1 to replace the one I left behind in Chicago 30 years ago.

Hey there, I live in Happy Valley too. My good friend has a restored 73-78 Kawi 900, and though I don't have any old Kawi's I have been riding newer ones for 7 years now.

Damn, I had this winters projects all mapped out but now the the H1D (which was due for completion Lord knows when) might just get bumped up the list. The bodywork has been ready for color coat for 5 years now, I just can't bring myself to blow paint at it in case I 'F' it up. The last bike I did was looking really great until I blew on the clear, then it all went to pot!

Great photos everyone. The '69's and '70's give me goose bumps.
