| Superbiker ![]() | Does it get any nicer than that? Nice ride dood. I liked the Sam Simons RDZ500 (triple in an RD frame...yeah baby..don't know if he every posted a video up of that thing running...cool take on combining the two. there is a guy selling a nice H1 i believe that has modern forks and wheels, a custom one for around 5k on craigslist. I haven't seen it lately, but i'm sure he'll put it up again in the Portland section, if it hasn't sold. |

| Moto2 Contender | I owned a bike exactly like that. Same year, same color. Loved it. Alas, it was stolen and my heart was broken. The kickstart lever brings back memories of kicking that cold-blooded mother up and revving it as it blew out a cloud of blue smoke and began its ringy-dingy-dingy sound. Sigh. |

We should have the frame parts back from refinishing in January. I will post up pics when we have it assembled. Unfortunately, the left side engine cover is scarred up but the rest of the bike is going to be in excellent shape. Still trying to find a good dynamo cover for it. |

I have a frame and swingarm for a 75 h2 750 that have been sitting in the basement for 5 years now. This so makes me want to get to work on it. It's been on of my favorite bikes since i was in high school and lost a drag race to one with my then new GS 750 e (1980). Not to mention it's a Kawasaki. ![]() Just can't decide if i want to spend all the time hunting down parts or buy a parts bike. Funny how a post like this can light a fire of motivation. I was just through Happy valley twice last month, wish i knew you were there. ![]() |

The cafe is slightly more attractive just for the weight savings over the stock bike not to mention saving some time and money trying to find nice stock parts. ![]() |

Here's to the batshit crazy bikes of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get around... always alley rallying, peek'n in garages for a wheel or the glint of a fender. When I find a zipple, theres ALWAYS an epic story attatched. "It spit me off... looped, wag'd, take your choice..."then it broke my leg." Bwhahahahahahahahaahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahaaa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kind of like the legend of the Cali dad that went around bying Vincents after his kid got kill'd on one... later the "collection rocked the Vin world. W/ fear and respect for the possible next victim, "no, it's not for sale." Like, WHO do you pass your PROOVEN cannible pit off/down to????? The world is safer w/ it hid'n in the garage... for 30+ years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Inevitably, I notice a limp, a grimace... a bygone reminder of to little respect and too much enthusiasim. These finds are usually a H1...usually early, and usually w/ little cosmetic damage... if the owner got off "easy." The last one I passed up was a minty 72 blue 750... stone stock... slight smoke from one cyl...250$ at a yard sale... WHAT WAS I THINKING????? I was still into my gory days of finding nickle race frame MX's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last score for a friend was a 1st year H1... frame, mint tank, side covers and r fender... 25$, at a metal recycler, ready to get cut up. Thats SHURE a green pretty... I remember "kawasaki Dave", a friend w/ a simiular 500, give'n my friend w/ a 1st year Z1... the SHIVER'N FITS..." THATS A GD 500????... I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!" Dave used to do the most lurid, almost looped wheelies on it... just SHREEK'N AWAY!!!!! Bwhahahahahahahahjahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah aaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SALUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! I had a drag 750... stretched, wheelie bars, fake tank and headlight, tailsection, sewer pipe jugs, skim'd heads, HUGE Mik's, denco's, FBG bits, low 9's... THANK GOD I never got around to that one smoked piston !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...I'm still alive... I can't imagine the sound of a 9 cyl "750" based drag bike...even RC would be proud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! I remember back in the day at SIR... Mom had take'n my bro and I to a Nat. race (THANKS Mom!!!) The blue jet 2 stroke haze, made Mom sick...prolly Blenzoil and "secret" ingrediants. So, Mom's sick, try'nto cross the track w/ us in the Wildcat... " NO WAY LADY...YOU CAN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"... WRONG... Mom stomped that 430ci Buick and smoked right past the Marshals... crossing the front straight... DURING THE RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !! | Moto2 Contender | Nothing smells like a two-stroke on castor-bean oil, and those short stack carbs opening up under your knees and the second-delayed three-cylinder scream sends chills up the spine. I love a skyscraper dyno chart. |
