Looks like OSP and WSP took the same driving classes.

The description of the rider matches alot of riders I see on the road.

Silly reporter, they forgot the all-important key words they use for us.

The motorcycle was last seen eastbound at a high rate of speed. Two vehicles that were westbound and may have witnessed the trooper's crash failed to stop and drove past the crash scene toward Clatskanie.

Spurlock, who has worked for OSP for 6 years, was later transported by OSP to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria where she was examined for minor injuries and released. She was using safety restraints. Speed may have been a factor in the officers crash.

Reading that part pissed me off.
I don't care who it is or what they do, if you see someone crash especially at a high rate of speed, stop and render aid.

Glad she's okay. If the OSP really wanted help finding this person, release the dash cam footage.

I'm glad she is alright and no one else was hurt, but I do agree with the above. The motorcyclists speeding almost seems like a moot point after all that.

if your one of the drivers that didnt stop i wouldnt admit it. my guess your gonna get a ticket for failure to lend assistance. or some other bs charge. and its your guilty till proven innocent. despite what they say.

If the passing cars didn't actually witness the accident it's self, I would have drove right on past thinking 'speed trap' by the looks of the above picture at a glance.

I probably would have grenaded the brakes thinking it was a speed trap and then been checking the mirror to see if they caught me. Then let out a sigh of relief when the lights didn't come on, on my tail.

Sounds like the trooper needs to take a few track days and maybe a drift course. Shouldn't be doing any high-speed chasing in a Vic anyway. She got stupid. Glad she's not badly hurt.

Please correct me here, but I also thought there was a "no pursuit" order for motorcycles?

Man do I ever feel safe knowing there are cops like this patrolling the highways keeping those speeding bikers in check. Tax dollars at work right there.

my thought is she should've broken pursuit and used her radio, she was in a SUV? or a cruiser? going thru the Klatskinine run? not to bright if you ask me, maybe she's a blonde, shes lucky she didnt kill herself

She is gonna get ribbing from me period, glad she is OK, but she could have just as easily died or killed another person on the road, which infuriates me. The accident may have been caused by her inability to control the vehicle, but she wouldn't have been going as fast if she wasn't chasing a motorcyclist that was eluding. How do you know that she didn't call ahead? You are making assumptions about a situation that you know nothing about.

Sorry, but chasing down criminals is what police do, get over it. You guys are acting like she got a medal for wrecking the car or something. The "I hate pigs" routine is getting pretty old on this site. Grow up, take some responsibility for your actions and stop blaming the people who enforce the laws that you are breaking. Sadly, if she had hit another vehicle and hurt someone, the cop haters on this site would still be blaming the officer and not the motorcyclist.
