Must suck to be a bored washingtonian ( the few that did ) and come shit in the PDX region threads But we know you just hate us cause we have Better roads and fewer cops

It seems a lot of people are missing the point of the video. Going 5 to 15 miles over the speed limit is not(in my opinion) what I consider reckless driving. Obviously they were well aware of their surroundings, and looking out for each other, and the other people on the road. Don't sit there and preach like you are perfect, and have never broken the law. Its not like they were going 100+ mph down a residential road stunting. So stop making a mountain out of a ant hill.

Funny you mention this. I was just thinking how the last vid I posted here, I was at triple digits on one wheel, I passed a car on one wheel, and not one word from the safety nazis!

Seriously, why is that? Is it because it's "cool" to do a wheelie, so it's forgiven by the fuhrer? Is it because the safety nazis don't have an attention span longer than 30sec to sit through the video?

I'm being a *tiny* bit of a smartass, but it really got me thinking. People just love to delve out their sagely wisdom when they think they're being a righteous do-gooder, and they do no wrong, so you better listen!

So why no scolding from the other video? Safety nazis?

I don't care about the speeding part. I'm pretty sure I speed just about everywhere I go when I'm on two wheels. There are just a lot of videos out there about "stupid cagers" where the rider is sometimes the reason for the stupidity.

I get the point of your video. My comment had nothing to do with safety. Now carry on!

Oh, I've done some air-headed shit on two wheels for sure. And I'm not talking about speeding or wheelies, I'm talking about having my head up my ass when I should be paying attention to what the hell I'm doing. I'm lucky in MULTIPLE instances. I remember at least two times where I pulled out in traffic & almost wound up as a hood ornament. Shit happens. That was my whole point in posting. PAY ATTENTION because you're a one-of-a-kind model! haha

I didn't post the video to get into a debate or an argument (this thread is tame compared to where I posted it on reddit), I only posted because it was entertaining, and a reminder to be careful. I've been to the track. I love the track. The track is where I push myself. The street is where I ride comfortably within my limit. That limit is usually higher than that of the average "internet" rider. Not being cocky, just stating the truth.

I ride with the flow of traffic on the freeway, I use my turn signals, I stay out of people's blind spots, and I keep a generous gap in front of me. I'm mainly a mild-mannered rider. Of course, no one is going to watch a video of proper use of the turn signal, are they?

I have a clean record. I've never been pulled over (on this bike). I ride within my limit. Now, if I were typing this as my teenage self, that was a whole other ballgame. Then again there were no helmet cams or internet, so that was probably a good thing

Thanks for more internet dick wagging. I don't really give two shits about where your limit is in comparison to mine, on or off the track. We were all fast and dangerous in our younger days, and are now responsible adults riding well within our capabilities now that we are older and more mature.

Posting a video like yours is obviously going to get this kind of attention. You don't need a lecture about safety any more than the forum needs another video about about safety. We are all a bunch of fucking snowflakes and everyone of us can't be replaced, blah blah blah. Did you get a prescription for medical marijuana when you retired? Hey pnwriders.com, guess what? There are cars on the road, and most of them won't see you. Thanks for the news flash.

Who cares if he is new to the forum, is that really relevant? I have posted lots of videos on this forum and nobody ever posts comments about you need to take it to the track. I watched the video and have read all the posts. I see the video as situational awareness! Not your going to fast, dont show your speedo, and in general take it to the track! Those statements are bullshit!

I came to PNWRiders from another site (we all know which one it is) because of the, you need to take it to the track mentality. I am not gonna judge, to each there own. If guys/gals wanna ride fast and record there speedo, then so be it. Who are we to judge and tell them to slow down. I personally do not know kornflakz, but I do enjoy his videos.

My point exactly. Nobody needs to be told to keep their eyes open anymore than they need to be told to take it to the track. Both statements are equal in their bullshit. I didn't mention his newness to the forum as a "hey, I'm better than you because I've been here longer" attitude. It was a "welcome to the forum, sometimes you will get responses you like, get over it" attitude.

I'd suggest that everyone always needs to be reminded to keep their eyes open.

New rider, old rider, fast rider, slow rider, fucking rukus rider... complacency is an enemy to every rider.

I got the message from the vid and {dick wag} have been riding for 34 years {/dick wag} It was pretty simple.. keep your eyes open and be ready to react..
