I can understand why she was pissed. Please keep this in mind as you read this; I stop a lot for people both with my suv (in fact I carry tools should they be needed) and on the bike to help out or at the very least to ask if help is needed (in fact helped a guy last push his truck outta the middle of Canyon last week, in full armor) I broke down in my suv one time in the middle lane of the west side of Vista Tunnel (26) so I call for a tow, blocking and causing traffic to go around me...it took the tow company about 30 minutes to get to me . In that 30 minutes nearly every car that came around me took the time to roll down their windows and yell some profanity at me or tell me “why don’t you push out of the road asshole, you’re blocking traffic!” keep in mind I’m on a hill!!!!!... even had a few spit at me! If they weren’t yelling at me, their windows were up and just ignoring the situation , but, not ONE asked if they could help me or for that matter if I needed help... On the flip side, in April, I was at the gas station by my condos, the fuel line on the bike started leaking like crazy... a guy in a truck that was fueling up asked what was wrong and I told him...”the line just started leaking” we discovered a split in the hose. He asked where I lived, I said right up the road but there is a pretty steep hill...as we’re talking two other guys had gathered around. The dude with the truck says...”you’re not driving it and your not pushing it, let’s throw it in the back of the truck” So, now me and three strangers are loading my bike into this truck, and then unloading it at my condos...we all shook hands and I thanked them enormously and offered beverages, they all declined and said good bye...I didn’t even get a chance to get names! It made me feel a great amount of what other people must feel when I stop and at the very least ask if they need help...gratitude!....and that while the vast majority of the population I’ve encountered while broke down were total self absorbed, mean, rude and indifferent people...there are still some who are not... Perhaps the point is this. In these type of situations it’s all about choice and those choices all play into what kind of person you are at your core...or what kind of person you WANT to be at your core. I’m curious though as to how an online rant could piss so many people off the way it did?!?!. It’s as if, some how the people who got pissed felt they where being personally attacked and were justifying their lack of action...weird! I’m pretty sure I read the same post and all I felt was “hey, been there...that sucks and rant on!” I totally agree with her rant about the lack of compassion we have in our society. We get back what we give... |

![]() ![]() When someone holds up a mirror in front of them, it pisses them off, cuz they momentarily have to face what a dirt bag they are. ![]() ![]() I think that's probably why so many of the brainless, yuppy scum got mad at her. (but again just mho) ![]() | |
