Need To Borrow Tools.
I need to replace my sprockets and chain. Im looking for someone to loan me a rear stand that works without spools, a chain breaker and chain press. If anyone would let me use the tools for an hour or so I can provide beer. Thanks, D.

I've got one that goes under the swing arm! kinda like this one (only cheaper, but it works well)

Only thing is, it's a Timmy's house, but if you can get a hold of him and want to drive out and pick it up, you're welcome to use it as long as you need it.

do you need it today? if not I can deliver it tommarrow!!!!

Wow if you could bring it Logan that would be great. Do you have a breaker and press too? Im in no really big rush. Ive had the parts since early may. Its just time to lube and adjust my chain now. Its pretty worn, I figure why do anything to it when Ive got new stuff.

I didn't go the chain breaker route, and it's worked for me. I just used a friend's portable grinder to grind off the old pins on one link to break the old chain. Then, I bought a master link for the new chain. Entire job took about a half hour. I check the master link when I clean and oil the chain and it looks as secure as the day I put it on.

Midnight, if you could use any help with this let me know. I've never done chain surgerry, and would love to learn how.

Super easy. Search the web, it's your friend.

That and your manual. Good luck to you.

I have a rear stand and I can easily unscrew my swingarm spools so you can use them temporarily while you do your work.

F4I swing arms have no provision for spools. I was gonna drill it and put in rivnuts to install spools, but now I think Im gonna do a RR swingarm conversion.
Thanks, D.

I used my dremmel when I did the chain on Earl....no problems thus far. Give me a call tomorrow (Sunday) when you're available. I have to go out to the airport, so I'll be on your side of town.

Master link. I'm tellin' ya. Works great. Used them for years on my dirt bikes. Use them on my R1. Makes taking off to clean them thoroughly a breeze, too.

Thanks Timmy and Logan for the use of the stand. I got my new sprockets and 520 chain kit installed. I went one down in the front. Took about an hour but I took my time and cleaned everything really well. Cant wait to ride. Tomorrow anyone?
