There has been talk of starting up the west side standing ride. I believe they just need to come up with an evening to do it. Don't know about the east side, but I do believe it's about time we get these posts up and running.

Colin (fun4i) and I talked about starting up a Wednesday ride around 6:00 p.m. from Skyline again this year. But, we were holding off until we were guaranteed nicer weather. If the forecast is good for next week, I think he or I will put up a standing-ride post.

Any opinion on whether it is best to start from one location each week (for consistency's sake)? Or, to change the location so we can do different loops?

Given that it would be a standing ride where people just show up at the allotted time and place to ride with anyone else who shows up, keeping the location consistent would be less confusing in my opinion.

Vauhn, I understand Skyline is a hot spot for the west side. But it would be great if we could mix or change the route a little bit each week so we don't run the same route all the time? Just a thought.

Mike, I agreed. Couple of days ago Lee took me on some of his route, I was blown away. Didn't even know those roads exist. I just might have to quit my job so I can go riding.

That was my thinking. While what Kevin says is true (starting from the same spot at the same time each Wednesday is consistent), it is also repetitive and boring after you've done it a few times.

It's a ride that repeats every week on the same day. Last summer, the West side ride was on Wednesday beginning at around 6:00 and started most often from the Sylvan Starbucks. It ran down Skyline and took in other roads as time permitted. After an hour or two, we'd return to Sylvan or Skyline Burger to eat/chat and then go our own ways.

I like the idea of changing routes, I think Dave was going to do a Northern Eastside and I would do a Southern Eastside. It helps to keep it from getting repetitious.
