Its been one things after another, whether waiting on parts, finding time, weather, or whatever it may be that has kept me from being able to finish what is supposed to be a simple project. Now I'm ready to wrap it up, but I'm in need of a chain riveting tool so I can "mushroom" the heads of the masterlink on the new chain. I've called around and nobody has one, but everyone can order one. I simply need it this once as I dont expect to be using a tool like that very often. So my question is does anyone on here in the Portland area have one of these tools I could borrow for an afternoon? OR know where I could find one to rent??? I tried "jimmy rigging" it by taking the hex-tip of a small screw driver bit set and a C clamp to press it in and "mushroom" it that way, and it kind of worked, but I just dont trust it. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks |
