Another consequence: a REALLY HEFTY ticket and if you get enough of those six months of riding shank's mare till they give you your papers back.

Sometimes those consequences are benign or relatively so. Other times they affect more than just you. The expectation is that, if you have an endorsement, you are mature enough to make the correct choices. Make sure that you understand this when you decide to wick it.
you crack me up man, "you have an endorsement, you are mature enough to make the correct choices"

what a complete fucking joke. the piece of paper and two lame test from the govt now means you are mature. and if you don't have this paper, daa ddaaa daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa you are defiantly immature and can't make "correct" choices.

what a complete and utter joke.

we all should expect this out of 307T since he makes his living off our taxes

This is the only ticket on my record...but it's not a small one. $430 and 35 mph over the speed limit.

When does someone in my shoes find it in their best interest to get a lawyer to help out? I'm thinking I should suck it up, pay, and lie low. What do you all think?
100% of the time. It's your right to be properly defended. If the COP was not following the rules, then he can't cite you for not following them either. Although it's still up to a possibly crooked court. At least the lawyer will *know* if the court is bogus or not and what the best possible outcome can be.

Hmmm, should I take the bait? Is johnnyb back on line again? Sorry amigo, perhaps you are correct and "mature" is the wrong word. The general assumption is that if you have your license, you have met the minimum requirements and demonstrated that you can stay upright for at least a few minutes. Whether or not you believe it, it is still in your control to make choices.

Oh, and by the way, I don't make my living off of your taxes.

Believe it or not, I did! Without cracking a smile.

...and yes, the bike can go much faster. At least that's what I heard.
