I personally went with he Pilot Road 2CT's, but there are a lot of options, as well as opinions. Where to buy from: Cycle Gear, and get the road hazard warranty for at least the rear! |

As far as which brands, its up to you. Typical high mileage sport tires are along the lines of: Pirelli Diablo Strada Michelin Pilot Road |

It's a terrific tire, and wearing quite nicely. I took them to a cornering clinic recently that involved plenty of peg scraping, and the tires gripped really well. In the mornings, they are sticky and ready to go with virtually no warm-up time. I dig 'em!! |

Their prices are reasonable and installation is as cheap as anywhere. They can also turn them around in a day (or while you wait) in most cases. I've ridden on the Stradas on other bikes and like them. On your bike, you should get 7,000 or more miles. |

| Training Wheels Joined: Jan 2008 From: Beaverton, Oregon I Ride: SV650s | I have conti raod attacks that would be in the sport tour class of the mich pilot road. They were cheap, wearing great (3k so far), heat up immediately, grip really well in dry for what they are, and grip well in the rain too. The tread pattern looks cool and it never runs out of sidewall. Still not scrubed to the edge draggin my knee. Single compound and require a little more psi than stock. Great tire for my svs 650. |

| Track School Dazed ![]() Joined: Oct 2005 From: CENTRAL I Ride: When I can | Buy your tires 'matched'. Or, if you just need ONE, then buy a tire that will work with the tire you already have. Dont mix brands or even same brand, differant model. Motorcycle tires are designed to work as a TEAM for your bike. Miss matching can screw-up handling, or worse. |
