Electrical help please
i bought some flush mount front signal lights from hotbodies. connected and works fine. However; the rear intergrated tail light (signals) suddenly doesn't work. The left and right turn signal turns on but doesn't blink yet the front ones work perfectly. Any ideas? I've check and recheck all the wiring already. What else?

You have to re-wire the integ. taillight individually. The wires that come with the the integrated taillight dont function well with after market turn sigs. Its all part of the same harness. Just snip and find the ones that work then crimp it back (cant remember which ones exactly its been awhile) hope that helps a little...

The circuit (depending on design) can use a certain resistance, to allow the relay to cycle at a given rate.

What you're going through is kinda like when one bulb burns out on a car, and all of a sudden they blink really fast, or really slow... same thing.

You could contact the manufacturer, if they have a tech support line (or check their website for a FAQ page). Or check web sites that are specific to your type of bike... chances are you're not the first to have the problem.

If you can get a scat of a bike thats been fixed (like doctor said) then it's just a simple matter of rewiring the rear half of the circuit.

Thanks guys i'm going to rewire the rear unit. If that doesn't work i'll have to take it in to the pro.

if your new front signals are LED or low resitance <sp?> bulbs they will need a in line resistor to make the flasher relay flash, normally the LED rear units need a resistor but sometimes the OEM front bulbs are enough to make the flasher flash, since you just replaced the fronts and now you have the problem I'd guess thats the issue.

yeah, those relays being sensitive to resistance is a PITA
