| Zone Head | Bar end Mirrors whos running them ? Well it must be winter and I've got mod fever and I was thinking of some of those bar end mirrors, I really like the look because it cleans up the front end so much but dont want to give up a lot of visibility. Can you still see good with those and do they vibrate a lot, pros and cons ? I think it makes a bike look so much cleaner and do you need to run one on each side to be legal or can ya just run one ? Thanks in advance for your help . |

I think they were around $30. I rode his bike a few times since he put them on and they are pretty much useless. I can barely see behind me, and what I can see is just a blur because they vibrate so much. Maybe the more costly ones are better? |

It's on the left side and I did get a warning from an officer that I needed both mirrors. I would recommend getting two because my right side is a huge blind-spot due to the fact I cannot let go of the throttle and accelerate at the same time. Otherwise rock one only on the right side. to CRG, good stuff, little vibration at lower RPMS.mIKE |

Took a few days to get used to, compared to the Micky Mouse ears I had on my CBR. Lol BUT again, love them. Little vibration, very clear and definitely cleans up the bike... seeing as how I like to go 'naked' as it is. ![]() |

They were big, had great visibility but I didn't like the look and had issues with the attachments. Vicious Cycle also carries a whole bunch of different ones and they are cheap. They also have a bin with used ones for really cheap, if you can find a set. Although I believe only one is required. |

They took a bit to get use to because you have to change where you look, but once I got use to them, I would not go back, I have tons of visibility. The only thing that I have noticed is if you go faster than you should on the street (anything in triple digits) my mirrors fold..........So I've heard.......from a friend.......... |

So here is the legal side of it: Oregon only requires (1) mirror Washington State requires (2) MIRRORS - ONE ON EACH SIDE No matter what the law states, I would run one on each side for your own safety. |

| Newbie Joined: Sep 2008 From: Corvallis, Or I Ride: 2001 B12 Holeshot Project Bike | I only run nekid bikes and the bar end is the way to go. vibrations depend on the bike. If your running a v-twin its going to vibrate. I believe your running an injected litre bike and shouldn't have a problem. You can get either 2" or 3". 2" is perfect, 3" adds alitte gay-ness to the bike. Due to the current economic status I went with the cheaper off egay and have had no problems. They don't fold in the triple digits and if I really wanted to see the lettuce in the teeth of the driver behind me I would steal one of those huge ass convex 22" convenience store mirrors and mount that sucker to my bike. Lol I've hit triple digits.. um, on my PS3 games.. and have NEVER had them fold on me. And hey, I don't have any fairings to protect them at ALL! So you know they're good. Mine were $50 from Motocorsa. |

Go vis, all I could see before was my shoulder, very little vibration, very adjustable and 47.00 each. If you need the bar end adapter kit it is 20.00 |

| McLovin' Joined: Sep 2007 From: Portland, OR I Ride: only when it's nice out... | Go with the CRG's, no question about it. They've got 3 versions: 2'' Mirrors: Blindsight ($40 +/-), non-folding 3'' Mirrors: Hindsight ($60 +/-), non-folding Lanesplit ($80-90 +/-), FOLDING I have run both the LaneSplit on my 04 R6 and now the Blindsight on my 06. I would recommend NOT using the CRG mirror adapters; if you look right on their OWN instructions it recommends not using their OWN (adapter) product, if you can help it. This is because the adapter is very lightweight and small, so the mirror is more likely to "buzz" and such. A solution for this is to either: A - back out your stock bar-end weight a bit and mount the mirror directly onto that, if the dimensions are OK (mine were). Requires a bit cut off the end of the OEM grip, in some cases. B - Buy something like THIS: it's a weighted bar-end slider/CRG mirror adapter. 3 products in one: Kills any buzz in your bars, protects your bars/bike in case of a crash (with replaceable slider pucks), and has a mirror adapter specifically made for the CRG's. I've had these on both my bikes, and they work perfectly and look great to boot. My experience has been, with the Lanesplit mirror "folding" at speed, it only happened to me at around 135mph, and that was with the mirror not completely tightened all the way, so it was easily adjustable "on the fly." IMO, CRG's are better than OEM mirrors in every manner possible: Installed correctly, there is NO buzz whatsoever from these mirrors. Seriously, I've had mine at (indicated) 160+, nothing but a crystal-clear rearward vision. Name a single OEM bike with mirrors that don't buzz at 50mph. You don't see your elbows, like the stockers. Easier to remove for track riding. Cheaper to replace than stockers. Badass streetfighter look ;p Last edited by MCA8690; 11-10-2008 at 10:23 AM.. |

| Training Wheels Joined: Feb 2008 From: Portland, OR | I only have one, and its tiny - actually its like an inch and its from one of those bicycle mirrors. You need to look over your shoulder every time any way right? This forces you to do it. But I hate it when I ride with my buddies, I have to wait for straight stretch and look over my shoulder for them, probably not the safest but I ride in the caboose anyway ![]() |

Cheapest I've seen in town and in stock Hillsboro Moto Sport. I've been on bikes with 3" too big for my taste. I've ridden with other brands but they where more of an eye sore. In this case smaller is better!! Good luck!! |

| Newbie Joined: Nov 2007 From: Portland, Or I Ride: 2006 SV650 | As a matter of fact, I do have the bicycle mirrors, so I guess.... ![]() Cost $8 each, vibration is not a factor, and do not fold in triple digits. I thought about the CRG's, but decided against them for two reasons: 1. If I'm going to drop $200 on the bike, it had better be more than a couple of mirrors! 2. If I'm going to drop the bike, it had better NOT be on a couple of $200 mirrors! |
