(in other ways, yes) Anyway, I had Monday off, so i was doing some cleaning in my garage, and decided it was time to get that pile of greasy cob web covered old motorcycle and car parts out of the corner. So after a couple tries at helping someone out with cheep parts on Ebay to no avail, it was time to take them to the recycle center. So a cylinder head from an old GS650 I don't own anymore, along with the cams, a couple warped brake rotors off my Ninja, a bent exhaust pipe and crushed stock muffler, and a couple worn out brake rotors from my Taurus went in the trunk. I dodged cranes, forklifts and dump trucks, to throw them on the pile of scrap. Went to get my check and the grand total was....wait for it.... $1.95 Wooooooo Hooooo I almost don't want to cash the check just cause it makes me laugh every time i see a check with $1.95 printed on it.Seriously... people steal metal to get money? Holy crap how much do you have to steal to get enough dough to see a movie, let alone buy drugs?! Anyway, my garage is clean!... mostly |

I've got a buddy that owns a scrap yard, long term and always made good money. Damned thing is going into foreclosure. World economics. China stops building stuff, they stop buying raw material, raw material stops having any value. |

I called them and told them that I lost the check and that they need to send me another one. Did it three times. The last time they sent it certifed mail. I think it cost them nearly $10 total to send me a $0.38 check. Stupid fuckers. |
