bike bad me good
first... I'm doing good. Still sitting in the emergancy room. I have broken bone in my right hand and the scrapes on my legs and hands which have been cleaned.

Second..... I would like to thank all of you for showing your support and concern by sticking around when you didn't need to.

I would like to give a huge thank you to Lena for following me to the ER and staying till she knew there were no loose ends.

I would also like to thank lee650 for offering to come get me and the pile of parts formally known as my bike.

Biggest lesson learned (Relearned) look to wear you wanna go, that's where the bike will go.

AKA look through the corners not at them.

D00d! Glad you're doing ok, and have enough use of your hands to post on the forum! (Some of us just couldn't go on if we couldn't post!)

Seriously though...Glad you're doing ok, heal up well, and take it easy. (likely be getting pretty sore tomorrow, ask for the GOOD drugs!)

I imagine you learned quite a few lessons today. Sorry it had to come at such a high cost.

So relieved you are OK. When I came around that corner and saw the bike without a front end, I expected the worst.

You handled it well, though. I am impressed.

Matt, I met you at bike night; sat across from you (the old fart with the hat). I'm sorry about your accident and, as bad as it was, am thankful it was not worse. I hope your scrapes and broken hand heal up quickly.

Hey Mat good to see your OK, your gear did not hold up as well. Make sure you buy the best gear you can afford.
The Sheriff would not leave the bike sitting for a few hours, until I could get back. He said he had to get it off the road and had to call a tow truck. Joe's Towing in Goldendale was going to pick it up.
Big thanks to Lena for going to Hood River and waiting until after 5:00to make sure all was ok. If you Ever need help let me know.

At least the road conditions were good and the wind stopped blowing after Cook Underwood Rd.

Get well soon and hope to see you out again.

Your gear was a lifesaver. But, I think if it had been armored leather and MotoGP type gloves, you may have come through unscathed.

If you're at Emanuel in Portland, make sure they ACTUALLY fix your hand rather than tell you they are then bandage you up and discharge you without telling you they did nothing! :( :

Glad your gear did it's job and protected you fairly well!
